The Cj looks nice. Just to add/repeat what CJ7otr says I would be curious about the drivetrain.
My assumption is it has the stock wide track dana 30 front with amc 20 rear axles. I would ask if the rear axle has been upgrades to 1pc shafts. Also gearing. You would want to be regeared or it would be way under powered. Stock was 2.something and I would want 4.10 or 4.56 minimum.
I assume it is a 4 speed but might have a t5. I would want to know the tranny. All should be mated to the dana 300.
I would want to know what brand shackles and lift. Check to see if it is a stock CJ lift or a YJ lift. Im thinking its a standard cj lift. With 35" tires it will be hell on the steering components. I would check the condition of the frame around the steering box. It looks shiny in the pic so may have been upgraded. If not you will want a new steering shaft, bracket and brace to help.
The body looks nice but the diamond plate concerns me some. Around here in Ky that would be a sign of rust. Check inside the tub for sign of rust. The usually rust where the floor meets the side panels, the rear body mounts and anywhere really that is metal to metal. Also check the frame on the back side of the rear axle, they are prone to rust there as well.
CJ's are cool jeeps. They don't ride or drive as nice as the TJ. Sometimes they require work to run on inclines since they are carbs. But if you are wanting to free up some cash and still have a jeep it ain't a bad idea. If bought at a good price you shouldn't lose much money if you decide to resell. Maybe even make money from the sounds of your post.
Hope that helps.
It's red too.
