1956 willy m38a1 worth restoring for a desert toy?

Looking at trading my 92 cherokee for it. Will be for my parents to put put with me.

depends on your parents..I loved every willys and cj5 I ever had. But,the older and thicker I get,the more uncomfortable they are.My belly hits the steering wheel and my knees almost do..Plus,power steering and brakes are more desireable as my years stack up

I second that. Thats why I went from the YJ to the JK. I'm too old and busted up to deal with non power on the trails. If you don't do rocks then heck ya if they like it.
