FT. Riley

I'll be going to Ft. Riley in 4 weeks and I went on their website and was happy to see there r trails for Jeeps so I'm asking those who r there if a stock for now Jeep will be able to go through some trails and is anyone wants to meet up when I get there or some time. I'm an 88 M so hope I can see some fellow Jeepers. Hope there r fun things to do there as well.

I was stationed at Riley for 3 years. I also spent the first 23 years of my life in Kansas as I was raised in Ottawa 2 hours east of Riley. I took my stock 2004 LJ on the trails on Riley and around some trails at Tuttle Creek ORV Park North of Manhattan. I wouldnt play on the water or the mud. Its deeper and stickier than you think. And for gods sake dont wheel alone there. Cell service kind of lacks in that area. Bring recovery straps and ideally a winch. I have never been there and its a bit of a drive but there is also a park called Kansas Rocks. My dad took his Samurai with a weak engine and a small lift there and did fine. Hope this helps.

Thanks I have a buddy there with a lifted truck and I never go alone unless I know I can't get stuck. I'm an 88 M so I think I'll be with him once I get out of AIT on July 3rd. I'll be on the trails once I get my Jeep.
