So im about to put military decals on my 2013 JKU. But while tracking down decals on ebay, i found a guy selling replical Oscar Mike decals.

Im thinking about using the 20" Oscar Mike star for the front, instead of a solid military star, using small oscar mike stars in front of each door, and then taking off my sport decals and putting on oscar mike hard badges on each side.

This wouldnt be false advertising would it?

That could actually look pretty good. I love my Cherry Red Freedom, but I love and sorta envy all the crush's coming down the road too.

I have an Mango Tango sport. I (without knowing about the OM badges) ordered my license plate to say "oscar mike" as an inside joke between my finace and I. After doing so, I found out they make the "oscar mike" badge which I HAVE installed. Ive also removed all the factory decals like the Wrangler and sport. I guess that makes me bad.

Im all about doing WHATEVER you like. It's not like you are trying to make it something that it's not and then trying to sell it as an OM addition. Customize it however you want. Thats what makes your jeep YOUR JEEP. Oh, and dont forget to post pictures. Thats half the fun.

BTW, me putting a MOPAR Badge, lift kit, and PLatidipping my rims and grill, does not make me or anyone else a poser. just my .02 cents. If we didnt make it our own, we would all have the same damn thing just in different colors.

I have decided on the Oscar Mike style decals, but I am having a tough time deciding between black or white for the decals. I have a Commando green on its way, which does everyone think would look better. I think white would look more WWII military authentic, and black would look more modern. Looking for constructive opinions please.

I'm working with a vinyl decal dealer and they make oem replicas of these and I can get them any color you want for a fraction of what you are thinking of paying now. If you hop over to the forsale and find me there is a list of all the colors available I will be figuring out the price sometime today

My opinion only, but I would think this would only work on a flat green jeep.
That's what I thought at first, but then did a search and saw that the Navy and the Air Force had their own military spec Jeeps as well. I have a Steel Blue JK and am planning on going with flat black stars in various places.

Ok, so I was late to post pics, my camera was broken. I took the plunge and ordered Oscar Mike decals and badges off the internet. It turned out fantastic.

So I now present to you, my new bud... .the "Little Tank".

And from the Sides:

Youll notice that I did NOT put the badges in the standard Oscar Mike locations. Thats cause I really thought the off to the side placement looked wierd and retarded. So In the end, no one can accuse me of being a poser.

Rear: (Just in case you were wondering, A jeep isnt truly alive until you attach its name to the license tag holder. Like the snoman and that damn hat).

And the Other side:

Next on the agenda, new front bumper with winch, rear bumper with jerry can holders, and possibly a machine gun at the top.

Oh, and for all the Commando Green complainers who called Commando green, a horrible color, not a true military green... baby poop green and other unkind words... I present this.

Too the left, the Little Tank. To the right is my fathers 1967 M-65 Vietnam War military issue USMC jacket. OD-107. The only slight difference in color, is caused by the gloss coat. Pictures cannot describe how this color changes in different lights. In bright sunlight (like these pictures), the Tank looks *slightly* more tan. In the shade, they are spot on. Even in the sun, the differences are so small that only a stick-in-the-mud, would argue over it. Its certainly closer to a millitary green than anything else out there on the market.

Looks good JK. I like the stars. Did you do a hood star as well? I really like how the "frayed" look of the Oscar Mike decals turned out.

I got the decals from ebay seller ecbreakk who was great to work with and sold me the one large hood star, and three small stars for $60 shipped. The decal vynl is thick and it was really REALLY easy to put on by myself. If anyone is interested I can give some pointers. If anyone wants these particular items you can reach him below.

Rock on JK. Nice lookin Jeep. Commando Green rocks.

In the end im very happy i went with the Oscar Mike decals. So here is the next question. Can you order Oscar Mike SEATS? And is the grab-handle on an Oscar Mike (where on mine it says "Jeep From 1941") is it different on an Oscar Mike?

My 2013 JKU Freedom Edition Oscar Mike Commando Green has the same "1941" passenger glove box grab. Nothing OM there.

As for the OM stars, my 2013 real one only have two stars total... the off centered hood star and the smaller one on the pass side rear. I wasn't sure about the star at all at first, however it is growing on me. And to see a thread like this with all kinds of stars, it certainly fits in!

This is my first Jeep, happy to be here.
