So im about to put military decals on my 2013 JKU. But while tracking down decals on ebay, i found a guy selling replical Oscar Mike decals.

Im thinking about using the 20" Oscar Mike star for the front, instead of a solid military star, using small oscar mike stars in front of each door, and then taking off my sport decals and putting on oscar mike hard badges on each side.

This wouldnt be false advertising would it?

I would feel weird putting decorations on a vehicle that it wasn't. For example, even if I upgraded some stuff, I wouldn't put Rubicon stickers on it. I would choose decor that ties into my theme but not identical to a special package. So, a vote for military.

That's just me, though.

The thing is though it wasn't like some upgraded suspension different tires and exterior work kinda thing it was just some stickers and a seat stiching. Wasn't it just a sport model or Sahara anyways? Nothing special just a cool badge and sticker. If I had a white jeep I would get the arctic decals and if I could the seats. Why not IMO it's not like you said the one kid I remember bought the rubicon stickers and put them on his base sport with the steelie wheels lol I see a lot of fake callof duties on my area too

Isn't this the point? At what point is your ride "fake"? To me, it's the moment you put on special edition anything. Again, that's me- in the end, it's your Jeep.

PS: I kinda think you agree, which is why you're posting in the first place!

Oh I completely agree with that to the point of saying its a rubicon when it's not but when it's something like the arctics or the freedom editions, all the special was just decals and a different seat logo. I don't like that people put like a gt logo on a v6 mustang and try to convince people it's a v8 or in jeep case, trying to make a sport a rubicon with just the hood decal.

Yeah, so the items that are in the Oscar Mike, are:

Decals
Side Badges
Some inernal trim components
Specially stiched seats
A mat silver front grill
Mat silver five spoke tires.
Side Rails.

So for my sport S, I have silver five spoke tires (not silver mat), and if I add the decals, the badges and the side rails. I could (or not) paint the front grill, and then the only thing I am missing are the internal trim components and the seats.

Considering the Oscar Mike option pack cost $40000, and I would spend about $150 to upgrade it, I think I could go without the images on the seats or the handfull of silver trim components.

And its not that Im mis representing whats under the hood. Like putting a Shelby cobra sticker on a mustang.

What i will probably do is use the Oscar Mike decals but put them in a slightly different pattern.

I've got an Islander, and I'm trying to work this out, so please indulge me: if I bought a sport and swapped most of the components with Rubicon take-offs, when does it become a Rubicon enough to put a sticker on? Can it ever? Where's Plato when you need him?!

17" Mineral gray wheels
Mineral Gray Grill
Body Color fenders
Black Mopar Tail Lamp guards
Black Mopar Fuel Door
Mopar Slush Mats
Black Mopar Side Steps
Power and Convinience Standard
Interior Trim things
Leather Wheel, Shifter, door arms and center console
Different seats altogether, its not just the stitching, but whatever
(the seats are really nice, a kind of leather like vinyl with really durable cloth in the middle) I believe the artic shares the same style with a differently stitched badge.

Oh ya, badging, and stickers

Oh, and it was 31.8K for a base model 4dr. It's closer to a Sahara, and actually cost less than a Sport or Sahara did equipped with what I wanted. Bought it for the package with the intent on taking the stickers off. I didn't want to go around all Captain America everyday. After a few weeks the graphics grew on me and I wouldn't take them off.

Do what you like, it's your Jeep, make it your own.

But you actually get to pick better aftermarket diffs, gearing, ect that way as well. Costs you more, but you get what you pay for.

^ But.. Factory gears are good, aftermarket options give you a huge variety, and some are beefier and built much better than a stock Rubicon. As he said above, you would get what you pay for, even if it's more. Or you can find a Rubi owner that has upgraded and get his leftovers.

I think if all you doing is using the hood decal then that is fine of you like it. If you but on the side Oscar Mike decal to pass it off as a Oscar Mike is pushing it for many though. Then to the COD copied my hood, lol. I even have many ask me if I have the COD but I had my hood before the COD was released lol.
