Military Warfare / Qualification Pin Hitch Covers

Hello all. I've spent a lot of time reading and learning from this forum, but haven't felt like I had anything to contribute until now. I have a new JKUR and I've been looking for something to personalize it a little. I'm not a big sticker guy, so I had been looking at hitch covers or spare tire covers. I was a submariner for 8 years and I thought it would be cool to have my "silver dolphins" (enlisted submarine warfare qualification pin) represented somewhere on the Jeep. I found a few ultra-cheap plastic oval hitch covers and a few really shouty spare tire covers, but nothing that seemed to be high quality enough or tasteful enough.

Then I stumbled on a company in Camarillo CA that makes exactly what I had been looking for- it's an exact replica in a larger size of my silver dolphins pin, fitted to a 2" receiver plug. I ordered one online and had it in 2 days. I am kind of picky about the quality of accessories and stuff, and I was really impressed with this piece. It's cast in stainless steel (in the USA, worth noting), hand polished, and comes with hardware, etc.

I don't have any personal connection to this company and I don't want to break any forum rules by posting a link, but you can find them at heavy-metal-accessories dot com. (mods, if this can or should be a link, let me know and I'll fix it). They have all kinds of different ones specific to each branch... gold wings, parachutes, whatever. For what it's worth, they seem like a very nice small business making a really high quality product here in California- seemed like the kind of info that someone on this forum might appreciate! Ok, now for the pics:

Very cool.

Wish they had AF enlisted aircrew wings.

This thread would be great in the Military area so I'll move it there.

Well, in their FAQ section, it says that if they get enough requests for a specific "Wings/Device" they will start making it. Won't hurt to send them an email...

Nice and thanks. Being a Veteran of Navy Subs and Army, I was looking for something like this to go on my recently purchased JKU! It will compliment my Army Retired tag.
Yes, the site said they will add other Warfare Badges if they get enough interest to produce it. I would guess if one would go to that Badge's site(s), it would be easy to obtain the necessary numbers to create your item.
Have a great Summer!

That is pretty cool. Being a former bubble head myself I may have to spend some more money now.
