I believe I have a M416 trailer. But I am not sure if this is correct.
I have attached some photos. This trailer has been heavily modified so there is no chance I can restore it. But I will turn it into a nice follow along/ camper.
Well I have begun the deconstruction phase of the rebuild/upgrade.
The frame I'd numbers should help me with the last information I need for a true title. Like when it was constructed, delivered to the USARMY... Et al.
I need a new rim or I have one for sale.
I want to make it the same as my JKUR wheels, two spares.
Looks like you have the origional rims, they are called "Combat rims". They were designed so they could come apart to slip the inner tube and tire on out in the field. They run $150-$200 new
I'm sure the bolt pattern is different than the JK.
I run these same wheels on my Bantam with the milspec UBT style 16" tires. No problem. They rather make the rest of the rig stand out, and not everybody can quite put their finger on it.
I just finished a reclaim/restore as possible T3C style without ID plate etc. It was a farmer's companion for 50+ years, and I could only do the practical. They turn out very useful.
Someone has lengthen the tongue, which is a big help. Mine was as issued shorty, and virtually unable to back it up. 36" is a good useable length, & the JK/trailer fit in many parking spots if needed.
No problem.....it helps keep me from being the 'only one'.....
