need ~6x8' with grommets & various shade of OD/green

most of the ones I see advertised are either way overpriced or advising 'not suitable for trailers'....unsure what that means...

The plastic/poly types are cheap enough but never seem to last very long.

Found a place in SoCal that quoted me $132....THAT'S too much for what I need....

links/helpful hints please
and photos are nice

STILL haven't found the ideal 4' wood-bow for hold the tarp up. The 1.5" hemlock strips don't seem to be working very well.

Okay, I've been going through this with my MBT. Until I can afford a tarp with the grommets in the correct spots, I just went to the store and bought a 5" X 7" canvas that fits perfect for something around $20. I run a rope through the grommets and the trailer hooks and it doesn't look half bad.

Amazon has canvas 6' x 8' tarps for ~$32 http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&ke...vptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_2uy576eamj_b

My next project for it is to make bows and I'm thinking about using PVC. Here's a link to a page where a guy did it on his M-100:

First pic is my trailer with the canvas and the second pic is from the guy's web page.

That's an awesome idea! Now I got a new project to work on.

Thanks for link BM. I'm constantly impressed with the insight of various WF members in making something work to solve specific problems.

Having used PVC in other jobs such as various garden-screening support project, I'm going to consider other materials for the bows in my M100.

Plan B will be trials with wider slats of plywood, as these hemlock strips so far seem to be lacking sufficient rigidity.
