Stuff you've learned.

Just wondering what different things other military members have learned while in the military.

I've learned to make friends in supply incase you lose or misplace things they can make it right on paper. LOL.

Don't shoot blank rounds through your rifle while on an exercise otherwise you'll be cleaning that thing for weeks.

Cigarettes and dip are like gold and can be traded for anything.

Triple wrap toilet paper rolls in baggies if going out on patrol and it rains.

I learned how to fold my underwear into a 6-inch square.

But more importantly, I've learned what is really important and to not get upset over pidly stuff.

Yep, on both counts, plus a number of other things.

There are only two units/squadrons/ships/bases worth a crap in any branch of the service:
The one you left and the one you're going to, because the one you're currently at sucks!

That's cool, I've used it many times myself.

Saying it that way its what I've gone through. LOL. Didn't know others were the same.

Also learned that the cappuccino drink mix from an MRE with a touch of water makes a somewhat of an "OK" frosting for bread. So now you have a cupcake.....almost... LOL..

Sometimes getting volunteered for a long patrol during a field exercise isn't so bad when you end up near a mile marker and you see the patrol leader talking on a cellphone, 1.5 hours later you're eating pizza.

Learned to gas rag a diesel engine when cracking the fuel lines isn't working.

I learned to duck when I heard the first sniper round go past.
