Not an SVT, but I have an 02 GT with a forged bottom end, stage II cams, ported and polished heads, Procharger D1 blower, supporting fuel system etc. It is my baby. On a side note a good site for any racers is need2speed.com stop by and check it out my screen name there is also modrodr.

never had a cobra, but my 95 GT was an 11.50 car and would handle like it was on rails with a full steeda/eibach suspension. it handled the SVT stuff pretty well. with a 100 shot of gas, it put 430hp to the tires and it was light. no back seat, no sound deadening, no a/c system, no emissions crap, aluminum heads.
i put the 96 style tail lights on it to mess with people. got some strange looks when it went thumping by, cam loping, dumped MAC mufflers pounding the ground.
i also had a 86 gt and a 93 gt.

and in case anyone is looking, a buddy is selling his blown 03 gt or looking to trade straight up for a nice jeep. 40,000 miles, never been to the track, RARELY run hard.

No SVO's but I've had 4 Mustangs.

'66 Mustang: 289/C4.....had FactoryAir, dual exhaust. Sounded awesome. Wasn't too fast, but MAN I miss that car! It was a show car project with my dad. We took it to 20-25 local shows over the period of time I owned that car.

'86 Mustang GT Convertible: 5.0/5-speed.....all optioned out. Sounded great. Loud as hell on the highway. Don't really miss that car.

'70 Mach-1: 351C/C6.....Co-owned with my dad. Complete restoration. Another show car. Every nut/bolt on that Mach-1 was gone over. Sweet car. That's the one I miss the most. Sold it to buy some properties.

'07 Mustang GT: 4.6 auto (got a GREAT deal on it, otherwise was holding out for a manual) Given to my parents when I originally moved to California. (They took over payments) Now they love it. It's completely stock, but still a fun car to take on a Sunday drive. I didn't have it long enough to mod it before moving out to Cali. Now it lives in a temperature-controlled building and gets PAMPERED by my dad. It's got less than 10k miles on it.

So, no SVTs, but still a Mustang lover.

Having one in the family I'd say DO IT ASAP! they are just awesome...
Its my dad's drove it to and from new jersey though and loved it...
Cant afford one though....

On a side note the smaller engine is plenty of power and gets just under 20mpg on the highway at 75mph...

We had one of the first raptors that came out, we didn't keep it very long. It was nice but the 5.4 was a little underpowered.

Late to the thread...but I sold my '04 SVTF to pay for my Rokmen and the stuff being done to my husband's CJ5. I LOVED that car. But, I can go more places in my Jeep, and I'm not worried about getting any more speeding tickets. The Blu Gnat was a sonic blue 5-door, HID, Audiophile. A guy in our local offroading club bought him.
