Hinges....

Hey Tob...it's been raining all night and day here, but I did snap a photo of the hinges for ya.

I'll resume the bumpers this weekend, most likely. Feeling a bit better today.

Quick question, is you Jeep logo on the grill chrome or black? It looks black in the picture, but I am not 100% sure.

The Jeep emblem came chrome. I plasti-dipped it to make it black.

I didn't take mine off. I plasti-dipped the emblem with it on the grille. There are a lot of writeups about it on here, or you can find plenty of videos on you-tube. That stuff is pretty neat.

Stickers

Haven't been doing anything with this since last weekend. Been sick and working. Now, I feel MUCH better. Also........

Got me some stickers in from Pixiedecals. I'm debadging, and will put the stickers on this weekend...pics will be up when done.

Also gonna try to squeeze in some bumper work too, and maybe plastidip the wheels. I actually like the factory wheels, so I'll just get some spidertrax spacers when it's tire time.

Hope my Jeepers up north are getting a break this weekend from the crazy cold.

Did some work on the front bumper today. Had family from out of town in, so it was a juggling act.

Anyway...I'd say the fabrication is about 75% complete. Most of the more difficult stuff is done.

Didn't get the stickers on or the wheels plasti-dipped. It was raining first part of the day. I'll get that probably this week sometime.

Thanks DS. Can't wait to rap up both bumper builds and start on the fender flares.

Removed the factory stickers from Grey Matter today after work. I have two flags, but one ia reversed....so I need to get a replacement that isn't.

Also plasti dipped the spare. Will finish the other wheels by the weekend, and hopefully my front bumper too.

Haven't had much time at all to do anything to the Jeep. Got some work done on the front bumper (welded on the winch plate and some gussets).

Did find time to plastidip the wheels black. I like the factory wheels...both aesthetically and on the wallet.

Bumper shouldn't take much longer.

Time has been a precious commodity lately. Finally finished phase 1 of my bumper build. Here it is on the Jeep. I'm definitely gonna make a bull bar and weld it on soon. Gonna get a winch too.

Thanks. Did the bends with a torch and a woodworking bench. Can't do personal work at work anymore (someone abused the privilege).

Still gonna make a bullbar and weld it on. Without the light it ran me about $45 in materials.

Holy dead thread Batman!

Got some goodies for the Jeep. Picked up a barely used premium soft top (off a 2015) on Craigslist for $450 with all hardware. Smodh (shaking my own damn head) in disbelief...what a freaking deal.

Got 5 wheels to put the 37s on. Just about got it figured how I'm gonna get vertical to fit those. Gonna just get a 2.5" RK stock mod to start with. Then add CA's later.

Ordered new gears for the pumpkins. 4.88's (5spd auto), and will send those right out to get them cryo'd. Articles C's and gusset are on the way. Will TIG all of those on. Maybe by January I'll be ready to put the 37's on....maybe.

Thanks.

Ordered RK 3.5" coils. Killer deal for $125.99 each. Took advantage of the Rancho shocktober deal and got 4 rs7000's.

Thinking about trying the SL rear TB. Saw where Pressurized and Ken like them, and price is pretty sweet.

Pretty good. Took 20 minutes start to finish for all 4. On the fronts I did the top screw first, leaving it slightly loose so I could maneuver the lower crap into place.

Love them...long over due, and at ~$100 price was damn-right.

Thanks. The bumper isn't permanent. Did all the bends on the edge of a wooden work bench. Still have yet to design and build the final front and rear bumpers.

Nice. So you are building a different bumper or just adding on to this one?

I'm building a completely new bumper. Will have a square tubing hoop instead of round tubing, narrow width.

The one that's on there now is from scrap I had laying around. Very thin.

Got a bit more free time. Installed my Teraflex Rockguard Rock Sliders. The rivnut/nutsert tool provided with the sliders tried to shit-the-bed on me the last few times I used it, but otherwise easy install...only took about 6 beers (1.5hrs).

Will have better pics tomorrow when it's daytime again. Wife and boy have long been wanting me to put something on for a step. These things are pretty damn solid once the bottom bolts are in.
