2 Dr Rock Lobster Build

Back in September I sold my XJ and bought a brand new 2013 JK. I have finally decided to start a build thread to keep track of all the upgrades I'll be doing.

First thing I did was get the doors and top off this thing.

With the top down, I needed a way to keep my dog contained inside. So I bought some safari straps for the windows.

You can see I also added a mirror for driving without the doors.

Next I did the grill mesh mod and plasti-dipped my grill. I really like the contrast you get from the black and red.

Before.

After.

I always liked the look of the KCs mounted on the windshield, but there were no good mounting options for an XJ. So I just had to do this when I got my JK.

I left my top and doors off for too long and got some snow in there. You can also get a view of the stubby antenna and grab handle on put on.

At 6000 miles I couldn't drive with the stock wheels and tires anymore. I upgraded to 33x12.50r15 BFG All Terrains and 15x8 Level 8 Trackers.

Several weeks ago, my brother backed in to me in the driveway and that expedited the front bumper buying process. I settled on the Rugged Ridge All Terrain modular bumper with the over-rider hoop. I also took the opportunity to add more lighting with some KC fog lights.

Before.

After.

Absolutely love the safaris, front bumper and KC lights. Less crazy about the wheel style, and really dislike the plasti-dip front grill. My honest feedback! 2˘.

This last weekend I was able to install my molle tailgate rack/table. I will be adding some quick fists for a shovel and axe in the near future.
