Finally got around this week to installing some of the parts I've picked up on craigslist. Thought I should start the build thread now that I've actually got something to show for it!
Picked up the Jeep last August for about $16,000 with 72,000 miles. Had 16" steel rims but I got a set of black rubi wheels within a month.
It's got geared to 3.73 with the max tow package and is completely stock.

Next I picked up the enhanced mopar rock rails, which I got for only $260 off Craigslist. The guy must have not realized how much they go for new! I really like them, too. They are subtle but give me about 2" of protection out from the body. I think the low profile design looks great.
And today I installed some rubi take offs - shocks and springs. I netted about a 1.75" lift but I think it will settle to about 1.5. I noticed a huge improvement in ride though right off the bat. When I compressed the old stock spring, it didn't even return to normal length. It just stayed compressed!
We used a couple forklifts to get the axle to drop low enough to slide out the springs. Made for a very quick job!
That's all for now.. Next I'll get some quick disconnects, skids, and hopefully plasti-dip the grill. I'll be in the market for some new tires soon as well because the stock Goodyears just ain't doing it for me!
