When I first got this in May 2012, first thing I noticed was how dreadful the stock headlight were. So, that was first. I got the Hella E-Code H4 Headlamps from SM6024J Headlamp Kit for Jeep Wrangler 2007->. Replaces H13 lamp with Hella E-Code H4 Headlamps - Jeep - Automobiles - Vehicle Type - RallyLights.com
They are great, but the Phillips Extreme bulbs blow about every 6 months. I am currently seeking an alternative to that kit.
While I had the plastic front grill off, I installed a powder coated radiator guard. Having had a '97 TJ, I remember how mashed up the fins became. And, I think it looks good

Those were the only 2 thinks I did until just last week. I had the AEV DualSport XT Suspension 2.5" Lift and the MagnaFlow V6 3.6L; Unlimited 4 Door Competition Series cat-back exhaust, model number 15117. Again, two birds... while I hat it up in the air (pun intended), though might as well add the exhaust...
Here you can see the hight difference where my headlamps hit my garage door (as well as get an idea ho much better than stock they are...

this one is a round trip to his favorite place, the fuel station! haha. It does give you an idea what it sounds like during normal driving in traffic (as opposed to off road, high RPM)
