Hey everyone. A few months ago I bought a black 2014 Jeep Wrangler Sport S. It is primarily a daily driver, but I plan to mod it for offroad as well. Calling her Black Beauty because I can't come up with anything better.
Okay, had to backtrack a bit. After installing the Argent Pintlers, I found I didn't like them with my black JK. They are great looking wheels on some colors, but with black there wasn't enough contrast for me.
So last week I ordered 5 Quadratec Moabs 17X8.5 with 4.75 inch backspacing, in machine finish. They arrived two days later and today I had them installed.
They look great, just the clean look I want for my black beauty. Check em out!
Needless to say, I will be selling a set of 5 immaculate Argent Pintlers in the very near future. Will be posting on the For Sale section, but PM me if interested.
Easy mod today. Installed a black MOPAR Aluminum Fuel Door, much easier than the YouTube videos on the installation. I think they've made it easier. It comes in one piece now that you just push into place:
Upcoming is Rubicon Rock Rails, ACE Rock Sliders, MOPAR Off-road Front and Rear Bumper.

Congrats on your new beaut! Love the mods so far. I too got the 14 sport jk, but in white, and did the fuel door install. It was really simple compared to the video. It's nice that they come as one piece now.
Also, those mopar wheels are sweet! Why couldn't they equip our jeeps with those instead of the sport s wheels. The 4.75 back spacing with machine finish really makes those wheels shine. It's as if that was what they were meant to look.
Okay, looking for something to do on this fine Saturday, I decided to buy a can of PlastiDip from Lowe's and do my grill. I really like it! Not too much contrast with the black, but gives it a cool texture:
This Tuesday my MOPAR front and rear off-road bumpers are being put on, along with ACE rock sliders. Can't wait!
ACE JK Rock Sliders went on today. Why on Earth do you have to grind the washers down for them to fit? I don't get the reasoning there. If they are made for the Jeep JK then they should fit the Jeep JK without modification. Am I crazy?
That said, they are great sliders, sturdy and functional as a step:
Next week the MOPAR off-road front and rear bumpers are going on, a slight delay. Then my wallet is taking a break from mods for awhile!
Okay, took a day off work, my dad came over and we installed the MOPAR off-road front and rear bumpers. Overall it wasn't too difficult, less than I was expecting. Took right at 4 hours to do both, with a half hour break in the middle. These bumpers are awesome, check it out:
Whew, almost done with all the mods I plan to do (yeah right). This thing really is a black beauty now! Only a few things left
The bug bit me again when browsing Craigslist a few weekends ago. Saw a brand new MOPAR premium soft top for sale and got a great deal on it. Had it installed last week. Much nicer (and blacker!) than the stock vinyl one.
Now that I'm hooked again I've got a couple more mods in the pipeline, $$$ depending:
At last I was able to get my hands on a pair of MOPAR Enhanced Rock Rails and installed them. For now my Black Beauty is finished, but not really because now I'm thinking about a 2.5" lift, LED headlights, and maybe a 10th Anniversary hood? Damn this Jeep thing!
