Next round of changes

Added Rampage hood locks/latch. They are super tight like everyone said. A lot of people drilled these. I found that putting the thin plastic strip off the OEM catch on the hood side made the geometry work out and it closes without metal on metal. Perfect fit.

Then added the 3rd row form Little Passengers. Very solid, match OEM seats exactly. Reverse setup keeps it under roll bar and the kids fight over who gets to sit there now. Cool side effect, have a hiding space for the Saddleback PC bag and other stuff. Under floor storage in the back works the same as always.

Swapped my trailer hitch camera for the amazon special for $12. Uses same power and RCA plug so can interchange them anytime I want. Needed the hitch for campout hauling. New camera has the red/yellow/green guides which are neat to look at on the 730.

And the two cameras; pulled the hitch plug after this.

Quadratec floor mats in also. They fit like a glove.

Pulled the silver covering off the from and back bumpers as well, looks a ton better without them..

Next up:
Front Bumper
52" light bar
Light cubes

Got a cheap hitch carrier for a campout to compensate for loss of 3rd row seat space.
I have the same thing to make up for the lack of cargo capacity in my 2-door with the security enclosure. Definitely a life saver on camping trips and other vacations!

Got the Rampage bumper, added Smittybilt cup holders for the 3rd row, fire extinguisher holder with the extinguisher, first aid kit.

Extreme Terrain had a sweet deal on the front bumpers back after Thanksgiving, got in on that deal. XT Ryan was a big help. Box came in, was in good shape except for one end. Brown Santa didn't treat my box too good! Bumper was wrapped up nice.

Then it was time to go. I though the OEM bumper had 3/4" bolts, turns out 19mm was the right way to go. I also had a heck of a time with the plastic piece behind the OEM bumper on the top side. Then I found one article online that hinted that the thing will unscrew if you apply no down-pressure. Well they were right, after trying to pry them off, they just came unscrewed.

With that thing out the way, getting the OEM bumper off was easy. Use at least a 1/2" ratchet, with that 19mm socket. Mine had clearly been off before and put back on before it was sold to me.

Putting the OEM foglight on the Barricade was fine except to small bolt at the top/inside. My fingers were too big to get in there easy. You should put the foglight on the Barricade bumper before you mount it.

I also had to extend one side of the OEM foglight harnesses about 6". I used similar gauge wire and 4 heat seal connectors for the job, no issues.

Extreme Terrain gives you new bolts and washers. I like how they had 2 of the 4 bolts pre-mounted to the bumper itself. Mounting this was simple. I am not a DIY type, this made me confident (I still checked all the bolts the next day if they were tight).

Before tightening up, I did use that OEM plastic piece and was able to get those pesky OEM fasteners back in place. KEY here: flip it backwards like others have said here. That worked and it fits right under the Barricade like magic.

Barricade with Orange D-rings

Here it is mounted up, took me 2 hours of work. I went with some orange d-rings over the provided silver ones and put some Daystar units on there to prevent clanging and add a little contrast to the orange.

The chrome grill inserts were there already on when I bought it. Those are on the list right after I get my 22" light bar mounted. Sorting out how to do that now. Pretty excited about it as it will go regular light or amber. Really want an sPod but its a big investment.

More to come.

The bumper looks great! The orange D-rings are a nice touch. Let me know if you'd like me to send you a touch up kit for the chip in the bumper. You can just PM me your order number and I'll get it out ASAP! Let me know if you need anything else at all.

Thanks! I saw that and replied.

Thinking light bar on the bumper and replacement grill inserts coming up next.
I wonder if you could paint or powder coat those inserts, if you like the style and just not the chrome anyway. Otherwise we have a few different Grille Inserts you can take a look at. Let me know if you have any questions or if you'd like a quote on anything!

Dual White/Amber 21" light up and going

Got a MicTuning (Amazon-Chinese) 21 light bar that is switchable from White to Amber (Orange) light. Came with its own harness and was an easy install.

Biggest thing was the bracket for the hood, I wanted one that sat up high so the windshield washers wouldn't hit the light. Found one from Inspired Engineering that I liked quite a bit. Had to thread their bolts through the brackets opening, was tight! The spacers lifted it up just right, sets up good and solid.

On and rain tested today, next phase will be those A-pillar rocker switches. I'm just using the switch that came from MicTuning now which is just super basic but works.

Little Passenger 3rd row and options

the seat belts came pre-installed on the seat from Little Passengers.

I didn't know at the time that Teraflex sells a bracket that will do the same thing and you use the back seat out of a standard JK to do it.

All that said, we are really happy with the Little Passengers 3rd row seat. My 13 year old and his buddy just rode it in coming home from paint ball for kicks. Its really for kids I'd say ages 10 and down but they pulled it off. Sitting backwards gives you that Rat Patrol feeling and they usually play a game involving the cars behind us as we roll down the road.

Jay Leno featured these recently, if curious about the single seat option they also have.

Rear bumper, rails and Factor 55

Went with a Black Mountain rear bumper

Black mountain rock rails, we actually have an easier time getting in now without the side steps.

Put a Factor 55 on the front of the Barricade Winch, wireless remote on the winch works good. Wince came from ExtremeTerrain in perfect condition, which was a huge relief.

Cleaned up my wiring up a bit, put the fuse block in and water proof connects to all leads. 175A fuse in line for winch. 2 gauge wires from Amazon along with the fuse block, velcro'ed it to the battery.
