2014 JKUR flame red build

Just ordered a set of 35x12.5x17 Goodyear Wrangler MT's w/ Kevlar. I'm still undecided on what rims to pick up so pics of this setup would be great.

I also got a 2.5" Teraflex Budget boost with adapters. I don't rock crawl or really need any massive articulation for where I live or the type of wheeling I do, it's mostly light trail riding along with occasional mud holes or driving back into the bush so I figured that this would be the most practical setup for myself.

I look forward to putting everything on and plan on posting pics of everything once it's installed.

So far the only thing I have is a Maximus-3 bar hoop with winch plate and light brackets. I have to finish that setup first but I have so many parts on order and so little time to get it all on.

So, here goes my build thread. I can't say it will be updated daily as I live in AK and parts arrive slowly but for anybody looking to follow or tag along, your more than welcome.

Thanks for looking!!

So, the 35's and Teraflex 2.5" lift are on the way. I've heard that mounting a 35 on the stock rear carrier is not a good idea. I'm thinking about the new Teraflex carrier. Is anybody running this yet? Still debating what kind of wheels to throw on.

Cool. I just looked at your build thread. Nice looking rig. I almost bought the same tires but Amazon wouldn't ship them to AK for free so I went with the Goodyear's. Very cool!

Very excited to have the new 35's show up. Now I'm waiting on the lift to come in and still trying to decide on the wheel to put them on. Teraflex will be out of stock on their hinge carrier for about 2-3 weeks so I have some time!! The parts are stacking up.

Congrats on the 35's. You might want to check with Northridge 4x4. I got mine from them even though Teraflex didn't have the carrier in stock.

Ok. Here's a few, lol. Nothing to crazy yet. Once I get my Jeep built up a little more, I'll post more pics.

If all goes according to plan, I'll have my 35's mounted and balanced tonight sitting on my stock suspension in preparation for my lift. I'll post pics once they are on as many people have asked about rubbing issues with 35's on stock suspension. Hopefully I'll have the lift completed this weekend.

Here are some pics of the 35's installed with no lift. That will be going on this weekend. As you can see, there is minimal clearance between the tire and the rock rail. That will have to be cut tomorrow. I'm just going to have to be very careful until then.

Today I'll be throwing on my Teraflex 2.5" lift. I'll post pics once it's complete. The next thing I'm going to need is a tire carrier. I'll be leaving on my stock rear bumper so I plan on the Maximus-3 setup or the one from Teraflex. Not to sure yet.

Looking good. I spend my summers in Talkeetna... Alaska has so many great trails and the views are like no other place I've been!

Thats cool. Is the mayor there still a cat? I thought that was hilarious the first time I heard the mayor was a cat. I haven't been able to travel to Talkeetna yet. I plan on visiting one day hopefully.

Build is looking good.

I just posted pictures of the TF hinge on my thread. I got it from Northridge. Worked out great.

I'm really leaning towards this set up. Thanks for the info. I've also thought about relocating the spare to the top with a rack and a poison spyder tramp stamp. Being in AK, we don't really get to take the top off to often so this is a possibility. Since I'm undecided for now, I'll just keep shopping around. I'll take before and after shots of the Jeep where it stands today.

I got the lift put on last night. What a pita but it's definitely worth it and rides great! I highly recommend Teraflex. The instructions are pretty easy to follow but I also had help from a master mechanic who also had any tool imaginable to get the job done.

Looks great! Where did your rock rails go?

I had to trim mine when I put my 35s on. I ended up just using my grinder and angled them to match the pinch seam.

Thanks! I took them off. I need to trim them still but I'm also thinking about getting the poison spyder rocker knockers. I'm surprised you noticed that in the pic!

So, I'm currently at a stand still for a while. Good things come to those who wait, so we shall see what's in store for later.

Installed lifetimeledlights for a headlight upgrade. These things are awesome. Pics don't do them justice plus for $150 you can't beat them.

Looks like a nice improvement. I may have to look at those too. I have been wanting to upgrade my headlights as well but couldn't bring myself to spend the money for Truck Lites etc.
