This started out as an "I always wanted one so I should get one, but I'm not gonna get all crazy with bumpers and a lift" and has slowly but surely morphed from box turtle to a snapper and might ultimately end up as Gamera (sorry, nerd stuff got the best of me there).

Jeremy, hope you can give me some advice. I know asking a vendor, manufacturer or rep about equipment is like swimming with sharks in some circles but the Jeep community seems much less cut-throat so here goes.

Here's where I'm at on this. I'm looking at 2 options and there's only about a $200 difference in price as far as I can tell. One is a spacer budget boost, the other is a coil spring lift. Both will use my current Rubicon shocks with extensions until they wear out and then I'll replace with longer shocks. Both will utilize an adjustable front trackbar, rear trackbar bracket and front swaybar disconnects. Both will utilize new extended brake lines for up to 4" of lift.

Budget Boost
Rough Country 2.5" spacer lift (I want the steel spacers)
Metalcloak adjustable front trackbar
Metalcloak front swaybar disconnnects
Teraflex rear trackbar relocation bracket
Teraflex rear shock extension
Teraflex front shock extension
Goodridge front and rear SS brake lines.

Around $575.00

Coilsproing Lift
Rock Krawler 2.5" Stock Mod (no shocks but includes most of the parts I need otherwise)
Teraflex rear shock extension
Teraflex front shock extension
Goodridge front and rear SS brake lines.

Around $775

I know that coil spring lifts are "better" than spacers, but I also know that coil spring lifts often give more lift than advertised and above 2.5" we start getting into heavier budgets for new parts which I don't want or need. My 8-year-old daughter has a hard enough time climbing into the Jeep in its current state without lift so I honestly don't want to get too crazy. Also, I actually like the look of 33" tires with 2-2.5" of lift, I'm not looking to stuff 35" tires or larger in the fenderwells, I just want worry-free travel and flex in a weekend warrior (more mud, snow and uncharted terrain than rocks) daily driver.

As for issues of the driveshaft clearance, if I run into them, I'll have a muffler shop weld in the Rancho downpipe rather the mess with the extenders or pony up for an AEV y-pipe.

Any advice?
