working on the usb port. it looks like the system comes with an usb of its own so can use that, but I was told this was plug and play for the wrangler and for 99 percent it looks like it is.
the two things that seem to be lacking is the usb port and the Alpine uses a separate microphone for the blue tooth phone \ voice commands and not the factory mike..
both of which Mike at PDA is taking care of .. and Alpine is working on as well. we will have to see..

always fun having the first generation of something..

yes they are.. but I can tell you PDA is not a full price place.. they have very reasonable prices.. I know what they cost from Alpine and they are really reasonable..

I love the sound of it too.. and the engine systems monitor is really cool.. I am getting pictures to post.

Wow, that is some piece of kit. Is it only available in the USA? At the moment I am in Saudi Arabia but come to the US on a regular basis. I will definite enquire about having one of these in my new JK.

I have been playing with this system and I like it. there is a lot of cool stuff it can do and the sound with my stock speakers is great..
I am really impressed with how good it sounds on a stock speaker system. But I do have the Jeep Alpine speakers already.

Also figured out that this is setup to work in Europe too..
That adds some really cool stuff.. some of which I kinda think is illegal in Europe.. lol..

Since I was asked And I just got off of the phone with Mike at PDA I will post what they charge for the system

If this violates any policy here on the forum please let me know and I will correct my post.
I am working on them being a sponsor on here too..
So if you go there tell them you heard about it on the forum.
I will make convincing them easier..

The prices as I am told is
2395.00 for the unit (yes plus tax.. )
And
2595.00 for the Unit installed.. (and yes again plus tax... )

I can say you would not be disappointed in this system.. although it is a big sucker..
You could watch an IMAX movie on it..

Yes it will show you your tire pressures in a screen with all four wheels showing up at once.

and it will show you your motor systems while you are running..
on one screen it will show you your,
MPH
EGT
Engine Load
RPM
TPS

and one more I cant think of right now.. it is a very cool thing to have,
and it has a very nice nav setup with split screen,
the sound out of it is great.. even with the stock speakers.

Check out the link in the first post or you can stop by PDA for a demo or if you are in the area I am happy to show you my system

thanks for the info, unfortunately I'm in new york.

One more thing, where is the auxiliary port and usb port on this? front or rear? would i need an extension cable if it's located in the back? if i want to connect my iPhone 6 with this what would i need...? and does it have voice recognition? for example can u tell it who to call or text...?

Got the rear part of the AEV 3.5 done.. well except the final torqueing of the control arms.
So far really pretty straight forward but the AEV instructions are really poorly done.
I did expect a far more detailed set of instructions.

For the cost of the kit and the really good quality of the kit AEV really needs to step up and do a better set of instructions..
It is really necessary for the first time doing an install. :drinks:

Got the AEV installed..
Instructions suck but the parts are of good quality..
Not sure why a couple of things, like front shocks being forced to an odd angle, or the drag link not being inverted to be raised when doing the High Steer ...
Other than that the parts are well built and appear to to fit very well.
Will test drive and see how it drives..
