I'm trying to understand the purpose of this mod. To see when the doors are on... I don't get it.

Jeeps looking great though. I wish I held out for the half doors, they do look good.

Thanks man, it's so I have side mirrors when the doors are off...makes changing lanes or backing up into spots far easier with the doors off and no mirrors.

Doh! I overlooked the mirrors and was looking at the green dot. Small phone screen... I zoomed in and realized that was a switch then noticed the mirrors. Haha.

Yeah Great idea with the vent mirrors. Very handy.

Btw I just noticed, on the jku, the door handles line up with the half doors, where the rear door handle is higher up on full doors. Much nicer looking with the half doors imo.

OK, I got my Trek Armors in...these things are unbelievable. Everyone raves about them and they still surpassed my expectations in terms of quality. So because I'm a little crazy, I watched YouTube installation videos, read multiple thread after thread and started thinking the install was going to take forever. I'm not really sure why people have such a tough time with them even though I did pick up some pointers along the way that definitely helped. (Spatula and plastic to push through being the main ones).

Here's my one thing that I don't understand what people are doing with the installs. On the front headrests, why don't anyone pull the plastic anchors out on the seats??? People wait a couple days, cut some tiny little slits and then slide the headrests through. All you have to do is take a pair of channel locks, push down on the material around either side and there are clips. Just squeeze the clips with the pliers and wiggle and they pop right out. The holes in the seat covers need to be slightly larger to fit them back in, but then if you ever want to take the headrests off, you don't have to try and squeeze through the material. This is how actual replacement seat covers are installed.

Here's a couple pics of how you install them and then another post for the completed pics.

Overall the entire install took just under and hour and a half by myself.

Thanks guys, I drove down to work this morning and of course, there's a 10% chance of rain and I hit the one cloud hovering over the highway. The water just kind of beaded up on them and I could just wipe it off. It was great.

A ton of people complimented on them at work too. Definitely worth the money IMO...

It's funny you say that, at one time I almost went the transformer route with mine too. However, mine was going to be a red Decepticon logo instead. Also instead of rubicon on my hood I was going to get Decepticon.

That's funny, you can always change it at any time

I'm still waiting on my HOUND hood decals from pixeldecals. I spoke with him last night, not his fault, he already shipped them a while ago and the damn postal service has the estimated delivery date as last Saturday, but yet they still haven't delivered them or updated the estimated arrival date or even said that they're delivered. Only that they've been picked up in IL. I hate the USPS, I've had more problems with them.

Got my Molle cargo tray. This thing is really nice and the turnaround was amazing. I ordered it on Friday and just got it today, even with the custom lettering.

Here on eBay...if you want custom text on it, you just shoot him a message after you buy it telling him what you want. Awesome seller...

Thanks Jim, was a little nervous about drilling into the tailgate, but got over it real quick...lol

Saw in your build thread you're not going to make it to Jeep Beach due to work, that's too bad...I'm looking forward to meeting a bunch of people from the forum.

Have fun up in Daytona !! For years I going there for Bike Week, Never went to a Jeep Event there. though It must be havoc, all those Jeeps in one place. Parking must be a real PITA.

Oh and drilling into your sheet metal, Ah Don't worry, it can be repaired If ya mess up, or, covered

Love the custom sticker and the Molle tray. Eventually, I'll probably break down and buy one of those trays. Too many other things I want first.
