Brentwood's Dugicon Build

I've been wanting a Jeep since I was 17, and finally got one at 32! Bought a 2014 JK sport in Anvil, with hardtop, 3.73's, a/c, automatic. Pretty base, even have roll up windows.

Figured I start a build thread and share some pics, reviews on mods that I've done and future plans....

My goal is to have a sharp looking daily driver, cleanly modded, (nothing too cheesy) be functional for occasional offroading and getting me to my fishing/kayaking spots.

I'm completely happy with the anvil color choice. Don't see hardly any this color in my area.
Mods I've done so far in order:
quadratec trailer hitch kit- awesome quality kit.... needed it to pull my Carolina skiff 19dlv. The boat loaded with trailer is a little over the towing capacity of the jk, but it does just fine. just downshift and break easy.

mopar slush mats- sharp looking, perfect fit, serve their purpose, bought from qtec

33x10.5x15 bfg ta kos mounted on 15x8 black rock 909 d windows- very happy with these. got a good deal from discount tire direct. push out just a little past the fender flares. they are a really nice, light combo. awesome daily driver and have gotten me through everything I needed to so far.

thanks albert.

windshield mount kc long distance offroad lights- look really good, I do get some glare on the hood, but they serve their purpose offroad, pretty good price for entire kit from quadratec

The sound system in the jk is the worst I've had in a vehicle, since the 88 thunderbird I had as a first vehicle. I replaced the fronts with infiniti's and the roll bar speakers with polk marine grade speakers and stuffed all the speaker housings with polyfill out of old pillows. Made a huge improvement and very easy to do yourself. Got everything from crutchfield for under 200.

My sport didn't come with any side steps or rails and looked unfinished. I bought a set of smittybilt src classics with step. I liked the fact that they look like steel rubi rails with a heavy duty steel step. Smittybilt has a bad reputation for a reason. The rails shipped with the wrong hardware and fitment was "acceptable", but not great. I had to go to the hardware store to buy new washers, bolts, and nuts. There was also a couple small scratches in the finish that rusted after a couple weeks. Overall, I wouldn't recommend them, but they were a cheap option and will serve their purpose for me.

I replaced my stock jk sport shocks and springs with lightly used jku rubicon 10a's this past Saturday. took less than 4hrs by myself. would have been under 3 hrs if I had a helper or did it before. ended up with over 2in of lift in front and almost 1in in the rear. They ride slightly rougher than my stock ones on the road and perform a lot better on the trail. I highly recommend these oem parts as a cheap functional mod.

My jks swaybar quicker discos came in the mail today! Will probably put them on this weekend.

currently awaiting delivery on my rampage stubby front bumper and grip cord grab handles. Hope they get here for this weekend!

and i'll try to get some pics on here soon to show my progress.
