OK so been busy running this thing last couple weeks...its getting close to where I want it.
Carnage in 2 weeks:
Smashed in rear passenger door
Smashed sliders as well as have rash on top of them from leaning door into rock
Pushed in front passenger door and hinges
Pushed in rear driver side door top from laying it back towards and sideways into canyon wall
Blew a shock
Then smashed a rear shock (replaced, body, shaft, piston, seals) and ripped a front line
Bent front drive shaft
Twisted up driver side front axle
Smashed in tranny pan now leaking
Dented oil pan still holding strong
Lots and lots of rock rash on sliders and rear quarter panel sliders
Dented front left control arm
Bent drag link up and forward several inches

Are you looking at investing in some B-pillar guards?

At some point I'll address it...I take doors out more than anything and unless I'm in a ftoy or buggy on not game for exoskeleton so I need to figure a way to deflect the doors and roof.

Found a few minutes between life today (kids were really sick last 2 weeks....flu, sinus infection, strep)
So went ahead and took some time to start the panels in rear.

Grabbed some 1 3/8" heat treated chromoly .188 wall and some synergy rod ends with left hand bung and left hand dual adjuster and built my tie rod today. I'll clean it up and leave it raw cleared tomorrow.

Also decided I needed some storage for tow straps, u-joints, winch tools etc so I built a box that will go under the rear panel. There will be a locking lid on piano hinge hooked on top side.

Synergy
I can get the chromo from calmesa but synergy has theirs heat treated and the surface is anealed (shot peemed for surface hardness) its pricey as he!! But for a part that takes rocks direct its worth it.

The bungs I get from synergy as well, we have .socal suppliers here as well but dealer pricing with synergy works just fine-

My Saturday super cheap project.

Went to the junkyard today and grabbed a couple hood lifts from a Toyota tundra (22" with 8.75" throw)
Only needed 1 as it is strong enough to lift the hood and hold it by itself so I used the weakest of the 2....

So behold my $5.50 hood lift...I made the brackets so a little time there home depot has them apparently...but cheap Saturday project was the plan....

Are you ever going to sell that rear bumper? I've been drooling over that thing since you built it...

I can build one but its done on vehicle.
- Body mounts in rear get relocated
- Frame gets chopped
- Cross member gets flipped
- hitch here modified

Its a couple day build to get it right, and done on rig so its matched perfect with body lines.

On top of that I have to heat and compound bend/curve a couple panels via torch and hammer to get the roll..
.

Thanks for the input. I may try my hand at something similar if you don't mind.. I really like the flush mounted style you have going. This is by far my favorite Jk build

Glad the track bar came out good. The bend radius wasnt too much after all. Thanks for welding my tailgate & the S&G's. I'll be back for the rear Truss soon.

Nick
