Got the full set of RiverRaider skids in alum under my Rubi today. These things are nice and I beleave they will hold up, even thought they are not as tough as still I beleave they have enough give in them to take a beating. Instal wasnt that bad there were a few spots were small fingers would have come in handy. Went and flexed the jeep after the instal was finished and I did hear the plates shifting around a bit. They also would hum from vibrations when the drive line would get in a bind in lowrange, but this dosent bother me a bit. Who knows maby after a while it will but for now Im as happy as can be with them.
Ill get a few phots and post them eather tonight or tomorow.

Trying to send from my phone, well see how it goes.

Well they sent me a pick of my front bumper today. I was told I was crazy the other day becouse I had them blast the powdercoat off to repaint a bumper that was less then a year old by a buddy.

Man its funy at the number of people who say I should have went black with everything becouse it looks so good on other jeeps. Most people just dont understand that thats the reason the only thing thats going to be black on the outside of my jeep is the rubber parts axels and frame.

The lift is sposed to show up sometime tomorow wich is good becouse everything else is in but the back shafts witch I can live without for now.

The only thing I dont like about this set of skids is that they hold mud and are hard to wash out. I washed on them the best I coupd before I droped them off but it was hard to get to them. Maby after the lift they will be easyer to clean out. Bad news is that the stainless bolts that came with the skids all were stuck and they ended up breaking a few of the heads off.

Well I was bored yesterday looking around on the net and I stumbled on the thread about bottle openers on jeep bumpers. I got to thinking how that might just be funny but at the same time its one of those mods that will hurt my jeeps performance not help it.
But then I got to thinking what the heck I know Im going to have a few beers at the end of the day anyways so I might as well have a nifty way to open them. So I ordered a red powder coated one and I think Im going to mount it to the front drivers fender for when we are seting around camp in the chairs drinking beer at the end of the day.

Looks like tuesdays going to be the big day for the shake down run. I really dont see any problems coming up but you never know.
I think my dauhter is allmost as excited about being done with it as I am. Even though its for two totaly diffrent reasons. She just wants to be picked up from school in something besides my dd trailblazer. Sad thing is shes only 6 and allready wanting to be picked up from school in something "cooler then her friends parent's rides".

The shake down run went great lasr night. Didnt have any problems with anything at all.

A few thoughts on my Jeep.
The lift rides great but there is quite a bit of body roll for some reason
The PSC stearing is well worth the money, but my jeep is touchy cgoing down the highway. I wouldnt advise anyone to do this unless they were willing to put up with a twitchy jeep on the road.
A flowmaster 40 dumped is a bad idea, it sounds like shit.

Ended up cuting about a foot off of the ends of the.front bumper to make the tires clear. I think it looks better now anyways.

I hated the FM40 myself. I was crazy enough to suffer through the sound for 6 months. It did get a little better until I pulled the top back off. Couldn't even hear in the back seat. The shop that did mine offered a free exchange to a Thrush muffler which sounded a whole lot better, even for a freebie

This thing was the bigest waste of money Iv ever done in my life.......... Ok Ok Im just kiden. Sad thing is every time I think I get the list close to being finished I ended up adding more to it. As of now Im thinking about a set of coilovers for the rear, on board air, a good set of sliders, the sprint throttle boster, a suck down winch for the front, and a hand throttle. Does it ever end?

I was having huge isues with throttle delay when I was in low range. I installed the sprint throttle booster yesterday, and I do have to say it was well worth the money. I was thinking it was probly going to be a huge waste of money but I was proven wrong.
My lag time in low range went from close to two seconds to 0.

With the Flowmaster 40 single in and dual out my jeep ran like and sounded like crap. I could not run in any gear below 2000rpm on the highway. I sawped in an MBRP single in and out muffler the other day and man what a difrence. It dosent sound all that great(but what does on a 6 banger?) I can now run at 1500rpm on the road and I also have goten 14.8 / 14.6 on my last two tanks of gas. 12/13mpg before.

I do beleave that with the 5:38's, 37's, sprint boster, and the MBRP in place of the flowmaster my jeep has more peep then it did in its stock form.
