I own a 2013 2 dr Rubicon and looking for the smallest lift kit that will accommodate 35's, here's the catch. My rock crawling will be a bear minimum and my jeep will be loaded kind of heavy weight wise and pulling a trailer. I am looking more for ride with the weight than rock crawling. I will be going off road but only going on trails and such. I'm going to admit that I am lift kit dumb but I would Like to know what the guys who do know have to think. Can someone point me in the direction of which kit and "heavy duty shocks and springs"? Thanks.

OME makes some HD springs that are designed for a heavily loaded rig. They might be a good option for you. Since you're not going off road you could run 35's with just flat Fender Flares so you don't need a lot of lift if any. That part is up to you. We also offer the Airlift Leveling System if you end up still having some sag in the back from the load and trailer.

Let me know if you have other questions or would like a quote!

Welcome to the Forum!

You add stiffer coils which will stiffen your ride all the time or you can get a moderate 2.5" lift with multi-rate coils which will compress to a stiffer spring rate only when loaded. Otherwise you will get a better ride quality when not loaded. IMO, this is an overall better solution. The 35" tires are perfect visual and handling match for this type of lift assuming you don't mind a slightly higher first step.

Checkout some of moderate lift kits from RK, AEV and TF.

Try watching this:

TeraFlex Tech: Jeep Coil Springs Hype - YouTube

It explains the different coil types (linear, progressive and dual/triple rate). What you might consider is a good progressive or dual rate and 33's. 35's look HUGE on a two door and if heavily loaded might rub. 33's still look great and probably would never rub no matter how much you loaded the Jeep.

Also, if you don't mind a bit of rake, you might contact the lift manufacturers and see about 2-door springs in the front and 4-doors springs in the rear to counteract the tongue weight. I'm sure TF or RK would put together a custom kit to suit your needs. That's who I would ask. They do lifts for a living ;)
