Just read through the whole tread: great stuff but you're going so freakin fast in the transformation of your Jeep!! You'll need a second one in a couple of weeks lol!

You sayd you liked your Kenwood system. Just a couple of questions:
- Would it be possible to fit in a Jeep when no factory satnav HU is installed (just radio)?
- How was the instal? You are clearly more experienced then I am btw...(seeiing also your Challenger!)
- How about the backup camera? Any feedback on that? And where did you mounted it? I wasn't able to spot it on your pictures yet.

Tnx! Keep the updates coming!

Hey, I got a similar setup in my Jeep. Just an FYI, uses one plastidip to spray that white cord. Looks much better and works great. 👍

I am sorry. I just saw your post!

Yes as long as you stick with a double din head unit, most will fit. I highly suggest using Crutchfield. You enter your vehicle details and their website will limit the components you see to only what will fit in your Jeep. They will also list very clearly what harnesses you need, etc.

If you have ever installed a car stereo then the install with the Crutchfield instructions will be very straight forward.

I love having the backup camera especially when so much of my rear view is blocked by my spare. I ran the wire very easily under the carpet all the way to the rear and mounted the camera on the bumper just under my spare where its protected pretty well!! Feel free to PM me if I can help you in any way!!!

So I've been looking into these fenders as well as the Poison Spyder ones. What's your thought and how did you run the side markers? You have any pics? Poison Spyder has the side markers built in only reason I'm looking at those. What rock rails you get, ACE?

I love the ACE fenders...I've seen the PS ones and just preferred the ACE. The side marker is a breeze. When you remove the factory flares there is a metal tab left on each side of the front. Using a 3/4 inch led marker light I simply used a step drill to drill out the exiting hole to 3/4, touched up the bare metal and slipped the led in using it's rubber surround! I then just wired it into where the factory side markers wire in. I don't have a pic but will try to take one today!

I attached a pic of the marker light...

Removed my Recon front LED turn signals and threw them away..junk. There is nothing protecting the plug from moisture and with the melt off the last few days as well as no fender liners they were constantly faulting out and showing a bulb out error with the fast flash.

Also making a wheel change from the current ATX Artillery I have to some that are true black vs. the grey that the ATX ones are. I actually have two of these new ATX wheels I bought in the fall that have the Teflon paint/coating peeling already. Disappointing but at least I'm getting some warranty money back!

Going with the Fuel Hostage in 17 x 9 with -12 offset. Pics when done!!

Got the wheel swap done today but it's to dark for a pic so I will post one up tomorrow!!! Also pulled my tail lights, headlights, etc. and gave the sockets a nice coat of protective di-electric grease for good measure. After messing with the LED turns I figured I would do this just as a good precaution.

Diablo tuner will be here Monday so that's my next task to install and test the various tunes and settings.

Couple weeks and my stuff should be ready to go at Ace so I can get this Sponsorship done!! New bumpers, c-gussets, and LCA skids...

Yea no doubt. I actually had not seen that as a theme when I started but then I started seeing them everywhere. Recently I noticed someone on here had one for awhile along with a youtube channel so I decided to change it out of respect for him being here first. I refer to mine as Project WidowMaker now. I messaged a mod to try to get my build thread changed but have not heard anything yet....

Fantastic looking Jeep dude! Really, nice work.

My mostly stock black JKU is jealous! I have to be honest though.........when and IF my wife complains about time or money spent on the Jeep (you know, when those brown packages just seem to show up at the house filled with Jeep goodies)......I am gonna show her your pics and thread.

Not trying to throw you under the bus pal but hey........it'll buy me some latitude. Congrats on the great looking rig!

Hey thanks man...I actually have the most supportive and amazing wife. She has supported me in all of the crazy car, truck, and Jeep stuff I have done over the last 12 years together and believe me when I say it has been a LOT. Probably 10 cars.....ouch.. lol

Little project update:

Yesterday I installed some Vector UFO's in the holes of the tailgate normally holding the rubber tire carrier bumpers as well as the electrical pass thru. Looks MUCH better!

Today I ordered:

MORE Grab Handles with grips
JKS Quick Disco's
Poison Spyder Body Armor - Powder Coated Black
AEV Snorkle
Metalcloak Aluminum Fender liner kit (front)

Can't wait for the next steps of the build to arrive!!

Thought I would provide a little update in this thread for the sake of tracking my project.

This last week my ACE Engineering Sponsorship was finished. This involved the installation of the following ACE products to go with the rock sliders and narrow tube fenders I already had:

Pro Stubby Stinger front bumper - had them install the 10" Rigid LED in it
Pro Rear w/Tire Carrier and 2 6" Rigid LED
Gussets on the front C's
LCA Skids
ACE Graphics in Flat Black

I also got the AEV Snorkel installed, JKS Quicker Discos, MORE Dead Pedal, and did some general cleanup.

I damaged my OME SS when I got the truck buried at a local off-road park a week ago so today I ordered a FOX 2.0 Performance IFP Stabilizer to replace it. I received the PS rocker protector plates but won't be installing them until it warms up enough to work outside easier.

Having been under the Jeep a lot this week for an oil change and maintenance I need to order some diff covers soon. The stock ones are actually tore up a bit and look just slightly thicker than aluminum foil.

Stay tuned!!!

Tomorrow's plan is to finally get to the front/rear Poison Spyder Diff Covers that have been waiting as well.
