First Jeep project

Hello all...

I just bought my first Jeep and am trying to decide what to do first. I want to do a 2.5 - 3" lift and wheels and tires for sure.

I was toying with the idea of keeping the stock wheels and powder coating them black. I like the all black look with the Anvil paint. Thoughts or suggestions on wheel/tire packages and lift kits?

Tell us what you planning for the final outcome. Daily driver, rock crawler, desert runner?

Limited daily driving. Once or twice a week its driven for my commute. Commute is about 20 miles each way into downtown Phoenix. (I work from home most of the time) Mostly driven on the weekends for trips to the desert or to the AZ high country. I'm not planning on crawling at all right now.

Then you really don't need a lift. 33x12.50x15 will fit, of course with the proper back spacing on the wheels.
What kind of gear ratio is in the axles?

Here is mine. No lift, no leveling kit, no rubbing.
At full flex it might rub a little on the fenders. If it does I'll cut the fenders.

General rule of thumb, with 3.21 or 3.73, 33 in tire is about as large as you want to go. 35 or 37" really requires a regear.
Just something to think about.

What tires and rims are you running on yours? I also just purchased a 2014 Wrangler Unlimited Sport and i'm looking to customize a little bit. I am shying away from a lift because I don't know how the warranty works with a customization line that. I have the 17" stock rims right now but i'm not sure if i want to keep them or go to black rims?
