i agree with the 20k comment and even 10k is too much for that. I would have rather had some rockers wrapped around racelines with a midarm suspension on less height with some fender chopping or higher clearance fenders.

Ride Quality

After putting a couple hundred miles on it I'm very impressed with the overall smoothness of the ride, my wife has even commented that it feels smoother and drives better than stock. I'm so very happy that I said yes to Brandon at 4WP when he would say: "you dont have to do a long arm kit but I would, you don't have to upgrade shocks but I would, you don't have to use speed bumps but I would", bottom line you can definitely do lifts bare bones and save a ton of money, but your ride quality and flex range is going to suffer.

As to the 5.13 gears, they rock. Pickup is same as stock.

Loving this BEAST!

Glad you are happy with it. I just love how that thing looks.

Just curious, I went back and looked at your first pics. How much do you think that spare tire weighs? That looks like a two man job to change one of those tires!

Close to Raleigh area, as to the weight I have no clue, but agree that it's probably a two man job.

Just thought I'd let you know you're post with a lifted 4 door pushed me over the edge and I splurged and got myself a gecko today. Dealer already had a lift in it, so although it's not going to be as custom as the now "hubby's" Rubicon, it's gonna be more than enough to keep up with him on the trail, and I'm pretty stoked to bring this wild looking color home to make all my neighbors think I'm nuts. LMAO!!!!!!!!!

lights

Just some feedback on the LED's, the trucklite/visionX combo is so awesome. The light output is ridiculous, and I find myself running them in the day also just because it looks SICK! And you better watch out if you flip the switch for the Rigid Dually's, those things are the brightest things I've ever seen. Hard to believe something so compact can put out what they do.

So far I feel the 5.13s are a perfect fit. Even with the lift and 40's I feel I have lost NO POWER!

Due to the Long Arm lift, is DW even a possibility with tires that size? I was thinking of 37's for mine but was concerned about creating stability problems. What do you have for a stabilizer?

The kit I went with was Teraflex's best long arm kit and came with everything you need. Trust me even at 85 MPH on freeway this thing is solid, no problems.

Looks nice, I would say the only weak spot would be the axle shafts at this point, any upgrades planned for those?

So far replaced the drive shafts, reinforcing with offroad evolution gusset supports, if the axles give will replace with Dana 60's.

Somebody I work with asked why I would buy a Dozer colored Jeep. If he had to ask he didn't understand. Ha Ha. Where else can a man buy a Skittle colored vehicle and still be baddass! Nice job! By the way, if you look at the row of Jeeps at the top of the forum page, which one stands out...certainly not the black and silver ones. I really like the Gecko now after seein yours!

exhaust

Forgot to post my thoughts on the AFe high tuck muffler, it looks awesome from the rear of the jeep you barely see the down firing tip. Zero chance to hit this thing offroad and the exhaust note is a huge upgrade from stock, but definitely not loud enough to be annoying. Highly recommend it!
