Hey wm3 I was not knocking your rig the other night I do think it looks bad a** and will go many places I made my post do to Con Artist talking crap how he is American made all the way but if you look at his profile he states he only got a jeep due to his WRX being crashed and I am almost sure the WRX is not American made. That comment he made just hit me wrong

Well gee, I'd hate to "hit you wrong!"

I don't need to waste my time explaining myself in great detail to you, so I won't. I simply don't buy products MADE IN CHINA, KOREA, INDONESIA, or MEXICO.

Japan is notorious for high quality products, but the only Japanese car I'd buy is a Subaru. Period. If an American manufacturer built a valid STI competitor, I'd buy one. Period.

How ya like dem apples?

Artec Axle Armor

Just put in my order for this kit, I do really recommend you check it out. I've talked with several friends with jeeps and the company directly, overwhelming consensus is to go with the kit only and skip on the sleeves. I think that's what I'm going to do, what do you guys think?

You realize that WRX was manufactured and assembled by SOA (Subaru of America) in the USA....

Used to Own a fully built 05 Legacy GT

The WRX/STi was manufactured in Japan. The 2.5L found in the STi was also manufactured in Japan but strictly for the US market.

I like it the most out of all the truss options except for TNT Customs (Jeep Wrangler JK Rubicon: Front Axle Truss: T&T Customs) as it's one piece over the pumpkin vs two like Artecs, but it's a lot pricier as you have to weld on new control arm mounts, spring perches, etc. If I knew how to weld, I'd go with TNT.

I'll be ordering Artec's soon.

Nice jeep man! Recently bought a mw3 2012 rubi and hit up uwharrie to see what it could do there... Had to do Daniel and even bare bones stock it did daniel with no problems...granted it was a rather carefully planned out line up Daniel but if my rubi did uwharrie stock then I'd love to see what yours can do.
I'm planning a build for mine as we speak and I am currently researching axels since I'm planning on 37's. Very curious to how your Dana 44's hold up. Please let me know your thoughts/expierience ... I had just planned on reinforcing them so holla back!
Btw you would have no problem on any line at uwharrie so post some videos or something when you go and let us know your expierience at some good wheelin!
Be proud of that BEAST!

Good to hear, I can't wait to get there myself. No problems so far with the D44's, so far I've put on the Offroad Evolution CGusset supports, and I've ordered the Artec axle armor, will post pics when it comes in.

Not trying to derail this thread, but I'm liking the Subaru love in here. I had a WRX before my JK.

I'm running around as often as I can without doors, have you de-roofed and de-doored the Beast/Hulk much? It was nice here for a few weeks, and my Jeep was naked for at least a week.

Topless, yes. The Lange motorized hoist makes it a breeze! Doorless, sadly no. I'm waiting on my Body Armor tube doors which I ordered 2months ago, I'm afraid my kids would unbuckle and jump out.

Body Armor tube doors

Finally picked them up this afternoon! The fit and finish are awesome and I feel they're the most bad a** tube doors out right now. Too bad there's like 80% chance of rain for the next week.

if you're waiting to install. drop the coin and get those color matched. by far my favorite jeep ever is a jeep in my club. I dont think his setup is anything too special, but the way it looks, you cant help but whistle.

ignore his dopey stickers. i just love the way it looks. from the lightbar to the plastic corner armor to the doors. just looks rugged

this comment will clearly be the product of watching too much hgtv buuuuuuuuuuuut...

I think those doors would look alot better with brown straps instead of black. it clashes way too much with the interior. otherwise, get the interior changed to black. it just doesnt look right. those doors with green metal and brown straps would look amazing!

Doors

After putting some miles on with the doors on they are solid. Very little rattle and 100% recommend them!
