Nice Jeep, it’s a hell of a build. I really did enjoy this thread, glad all worked out in the end. I have to admit though, if you run Rubi stickers on a non Rubi, it's sad. It's the same with the fake SS Chevelle’s, the fake Cobra’s, all sad. Regardless of the build itself people are laughing behind your back.
Awesome Jeep man, been cruising the thread for the past couple of days. BTW, LOVE the color, had a 70 383 Challenger back in the day same color basically, my buddies used to call it Puke Green, I loved it!
I'm going from 37 TOYO;s to 40 TOYO's next week, just got a set of 1.5 spacers for the front. I had a couple of questions, I got one answered, your running 28lbs on the street if I remember right? What do you drop them to in the sand? Also, I probably missed it, but what did you do with the rear driveshaft?
No air down, that's interesting, they wont even let you through the gate in Cape Cod with more then 12lbs, how does it do in the soft sand at full air pressure? Quick one on the drive shaft, how much longer than stock?
My 40's should be in this week, people are telling me I"m going to need drive shafts

Outer Banks in NC doesn't check you, the 40s have such a big footprint you'll be fine even in the soft stuff, I've done it. As far as drive shaft length I have no clue, but you will definitely need to upgrade with 40s. Send me a pic when you get it installed!
Got it on today, fit and finish is awesome. The fully enclosed box sold me. Can't really say it drives any different, maybe slightly lower RPM's at highway speeds. Kinda bummed that it didn't make the exhaust sound that much louder. Maybe a little throatier between 3K-6K RPM. I'd already put on the AFE cat back system when I got the jeep.

On the highway your RPM at a given speed can't be affected by any mod other than tire size and gear changes, unless you have an automatic and your torque converter isn't locking up at highway speeds.
I'm glad you like the intake though. 3000-6000 rpm; you like to rap that baby up don't you.
Please tell me you made it up that. If my jeep wouldnt climp that lose dirt or not it would have a hell of lot more then a busted U joint when I was finished beating on it.
See that pile of rocks behinde you and the jeep in the pic where you are holding your shaft up? That would be one hell of a spot to get a good photo.
well that hill does look pretty steep. in my mind the question, once again, is why no airing down? look at the ruts his jeep is making in that second picture.
plus the fact that he blew out a ujoint on essentially a dirt road. means tons and tons of wheel spin, and then suddenly some traction and boom. explosion. had the tires had more traction the whole time, would have been no issue
i dont get why some people just refuse to air down. it makes wheeling alot more comfortable, and easier! besides, i'm sure he can afford a sweet 20# co2 tank to air backup with!
either way, good word of warning to those looking at teraflex drive shafts. when you go to replace them, maybe see about going 1350. and get them with some good u-joints, not the chinese crap
Got off the phone with Brandon at 4WP, looks like the U joint was the least of my worries. He says he's never seen it happen on a JK but the axle literally broke away in the center and was literally spinning on the tubes, bottom line it's shot. Good news is that my new G2 Dana 60 is on the way!

doh, didnt realize it was the rear. either way, same point.
dana 60s can mean different lug patterns (if you add a 60 in the front). so decide what youre doing with the front, and make sure you get wheels to match. boom boom
meh, with 4 doors its going to be an issue no matter what. i destroyed my first rear ds, replaced it with after market, and had to get it retubed after like 2 trips out. its exposed as all hell on a 4d
