I just moved from DFW to San Antonio, so it got driven heavily last week, but it's also only a week old. And I'm still major paranoid (/salute) when approaching green lights, afraid another genius will run a red light and ram into me. My poor lil JKU, Red-5. :nonono:
Awesome!! Great list of mods to start off with. Enjoy the new Jeep!! Be sure to cut open the vents on that Hard Rock hood, RubiconSS has a thread on it in this forum. Its super easy to do with a dremmel and a small cutting wheel :winner:.
So just a small update; lots of deliveries this week. This is the AEV suspension/geo brackets/Procal, JWS 8700 Evo J LED headlights, Mopar JWS fog lights, and the TF HD hinge & tire mount are somewhere around here.
I'm betting the UPS guys are getting really tired of going up and down my stairs, not to mention being "greeted" by this girl:
She's not a fan of visitors.
The Mopar headliners arrived yesterday in a half-opened box, with only 2 of the 6 pieces inside. :nonono: Looks like another week or so before I get the replacement package with all the pieces (hopefully). Also still waiting on the custom vent covers and grab bar, and a couple of decals for the outside, to make Rogue Leader more "official."
Still have to order the wheels/tires, but since it'll be the latter part of April before they (and the lift) will be installed, I have some time (taking a road trip to Alabama for a few days in April, so keeping it stock until after that trip).
The only other installs I've done since the hood vents & stubby antenna are the hood lock and mesh grille insert; waiting on the horizontal adjustment screws to come in for the headlight install.
I love it. Looks like mine, for at least a short time. I'll be watching your build, as I'm working on my first. Looks like you've got a few more boxes than I did at the start.
I haven't done the vent mod yet, but probably will do so soon.
JWS 8700 Evo J LED headlights and Mopar JWS Fogs for HR bumpers (mesh grille insert and hood lock also from before). Had to remove the end caps from the bumper to get the fogs in, so just left them off for now.
And the awesome custom vent covers/grab bar made by forum member @ETOIMOS
I also got the replacement (and full, this time) set of Mopar headliners for the hard top, so I put those in as well.
I've started re-thinking which wheels I want, and I'm almost sure I'll be buying gunmetal Fuels (gasp!) instead of the all-black Tracker Pro's. But, this also means I'll be buying a 17" wheel instead of a 16", which is why I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Well that, and I need to find a vendor.
Very Nice, really like those Fuel rims. Before you buy get a quote from Mike D at WheelHero (Forum Sponsor in the special offers thread), they gave me a great deal for the rims, tires,TPMS, mount and balance and wheel locks. Worth a shot :beerdrinking:
Finally a good update after the crushing hail damage last week: got the AEV 2.5 lift installed today, and my Fuel Trophy wheels in gunmetal with 315x70R17 BFG TA/KO2's:

I'm so glad I went with the gunmetal wheels instead of black, I agree, goes great with GCM.
Today's mod (after insurance inspector came out to assess the hail damage ... getting a new hood and cowl replacements, top repairs and lots of PDR), installed the Lund drop steps to the Rubi rails:
