I figured out what I want to do...

I came across this picture looking at wheels... I know what I wanted in my head and these fit the ticket just about exactly... then it had this supplemental picture as well, and I was blown away... its pretty much exactly what I have had pictured in me head all along, and I LOVE IT!!!!!

Fuel - D517 "Krank" Wheels.. Smittybilt XRC Armor fender flares, smittybilt XRC bumper...

Only thing is here I have a hard top, not like the soft top in this pic... Then I am still very uncertain about getting a light bar after talking with a few of yall and hearing how they really aint worth it most of the time and they whistle bad..

I'm still debating on the 35x12.50 tires vs 10.50 tires... I have a hunch that the 10.50 tires will sit under or appear to sit under these fender flares better where as the 12.50's would stick out more... These in this picture look like 12.50's to me..

Its hard to tell what it would really look like until I just get far enough along where I have the fender flares on it, bumper and lift on, then have the rims where I can go to my tire dealer and visually see what it would look like with various tire sizes... The tires seem to be the LAST thing to add to make sure it all looks right...

NEED ADVICE---------

These fuel wheel come in the following sizes...

Size Style Finish Offset
17x9 D517 Matte Black Milled -12 mm
18x9 D517 Matte Black Milled -12 mm
20x9 D517 Matte Black Milled 0 mm
20x10 D517 Matte Black Milled -12 mm
20x10 D517 Matte Black Milled -24 mm

If I was to run 35 inch tires... and said I DO NOT want a 20 inch ghetto looking wheel that leaves the 17s and 18s.. What's the pros/cons of a 17 vs 18.... I am thinking that the 18's would be my ticket here for this build given when I am looking to do... I want a little more tire like the picture above... Im no pro but I think the 20's would be for more of a low profile tire.. which I dont want..

I'd get the 17's, no question. If you decide to swap tires later the choices on 17's will be greater than 18's. This rim size would look awesome up to about 39" tires then 18's would look more appropriate. Just my opinion.

As for the whistling light bar; that is an easy fix. Cut 6" strips of window washer fluid line and stuff them into each side and the middle leaving a space between each fin.
I've ran my 50" for months and haven't heard a whistle since day 1.

Good luck in your search, brother. That picture looks awesome with or without a soft top, by the way.

Larger wheels will kill you on cost, weight and mileage. The only time I'd recommend them is if you think you'll one day go to 37" tires, or bigger.

There are a couple of pitfalls to running 15s, but more often than not, you'll find peeps running smaller wheels, for the reasons I mentioned above.
