No Problem, I will hold on to them till you get around to picking them up in person. I might want a reward for, ya know, Finding them for ya, and all that test fitting. Till then, I think I know just the place to put them.

I bought a small size CB Radio from EBay, I Love EBay and Amazon,

And Antenna, RG58 wire,
a bracket for the spare tire mount to attach the Antenna to.

Thanks for the up close pics of your CB mount. I am trying to figure out how I want to mount mine. I like your set up.

Just FYI on the CB. I was in a hurry to go on a jeep run so I picked up 2 $40 cobra CBs at wall mart and just stuck a little crummy magnetic ant on the back bumper. I know it's not the best for long range and blah blah blah! Here is the cool part! The CB mounted inside the factory console against the rear panel. I can still use the power outlet, and the mike and CB disappear when I'm not using them. I stick the little ant in the rear storage compartment and everything is clean. The CB worked perfect and since we all stay close together on the trail, range wasn't an issue. Cheap and easy for a last min deal. I'll post a pic in my build thread when I get a chance.

It works very well for me. But as for the idea of it, someone else on the forum came up with this mounting, I just added nylon nuts to make it more mine. I hate having to retightened bolts.

It does make a very secure mount for the CB. Much better than I would have thought. Post up pics of yours when you get it done.

I had thought of the center console, but I actually use mine for storage. But if it works well for you mounted in there, that's all that matters, isn't it

Ah finally, my JCR front bumper showed up. My wife convinced the FedEx guy to put it inside the house for her.

Ain't it pretty, all wrapped up in Christmas cardboard and plastic

I went with Rustoleum. These WILL get damaged when I am out playing. So I know I will have to be retouching them often. So this was a better choice for me than a professional route.

Wire Insulate Clips

Can be found at Home Depot or Lowes

I used nylon locking nuts, not in the original thread. And attached it all to the CB;s own mounting bracket. As you can see in the picture about the CB install. Not all that hard. Wiring took longer than mounting. It's extremely stable too.

When using this method, make sure to get small enough clips that fit snug, not lose. I had the wrong size when I did mine, so I shimmed it up with fuel hose I had laying around the garage.

Good Luck, let me know how you do on yours.

Follow up on my JCR Classic Slider install.
Added these non skid strips to the top of the Sliders for my wife. This seems to have made her agreeable to me keeping the sliders now.

I bought this from Home Depot

Cut them to fit where my wife likes to put her feet

Walaaa, Non Slip Sliders

Hey Bill, Thanks for the offer.

Yeah I am loving that new JCR Bumper of mine.

If you have nothing planned next weekend, you should think of going down to "4 Wheel Parts" in Miami. Meet some of the other Local Jeepers too.

It's all about the money I may have available at the time too. While I'd love the one with tire carrier. But, it's all about the $$$

These are at the top of my list for now.
I'd go with the tire carrier. I haven't seen it affect jks just yet but I know some of the tjs had issues with the back gate warping from holding heavy tires. I was against tire carriers until I saw that, now its near the top of my list of stuff to get.

Otherwise fantastic looking jeep. I really like the tail lights too. Thinking about doing that I just get nervous taking a saw to my jeep.

Yes, I am going to go that route. My new 35's won't play nice with the stock carrier or the tailgate. It's a known issue on JK's too, that large tires destroy the tailgate eventually.
