It wasn't pleasant. Glass went all over me. I had glass sticking into the back of my hand. Glass in my hair. I was extremely lucky I didn't get it in my eyes. My deductible was $500 so I paid out of pocket. I didn't catch the part where the price difference was $31 for six months, for $0 deductible. I thought it was $31 a month. So for $5 more a month I have $0 deductible. Too little too late, but oh well.

You'll want full glass coverage in a Jeep, we go through windshields at least one a year!

And nice start on your rig!! Love the TF diff covers, on my list as well.

Nice build.

I believe Buzzard would be a great name for your Jeep :D
Concur!!!

I removed my front and rear bumper covers. Too dark for pictures tonight, but I'll post them tomorrow. I like the rear, but the front just isn't going to cut it. So, I'm just going to have to build some custom matching front and rear bumpers out of some channel iron. The J8 has become my inspiration. Not going clone, just the way I'd of built it. My only rule is everything has to be able to return to stock. Anything I do can be undone. I think the only permanent mod will come with the snorkel. But, even then, that will still be hideable if stock look is desired.

Once upon a time, a small housewife thought she wanted a Jeep, so her noble husband took her to the dealer to look at one. They fell in love with the Jeep and took it home.

All was good.

Then an evil Jeep club started coming around with their big fancy beasts and the small housewife started thinking her Jeep was inadequate.

So now the noble husband, feeling compelled by the big fancy beasts, sets out on a quest to build his wife a Jeep that she could feel adequate with. It was on that day that Brutus was born.

The end.

:D

Moral to the story: Stay away from Jeeps, they speak to you and make you spend $$ on them.. :beerdrinking:
