Kjeeper's "what is next?" build

Well I've been around here for sometime and titled a past thread of mine a "build" thread. But let's start fresh.

2007 jeep JK Rubicon 2 door. All stock Bought the jeep in 11 w/ 32k on the odometer. Body/interior looked fantastic. 2007 so there wAs some rust. My very first add on was a set of seat covers a member gave to me for free. Next was the Sorintbooster. Driving a Tj for 10 years the throttle lag was hard to deal with.

Edit: currant build specs
* 2007 jeep JK 2 door Rubicon
* 3.8 engine w/ 4.10 gears
* Superchips tuned running 93 octane
* Sprintbooster

* RK 3.5" coils
* Rock Krawler 8 arms cut short in the rear
* Rock Krawler rear track bar
* Teraflex rear track bar bracket
* Synergy tie rod
* Synergy flipped drag link
* Super lift front track bar
* Synergy ball joints
* Synergy upper frame brace
* Fox Ats stabilizer

* Artec truss
* Artec raised Track bar bracket
* Artec front lower control arm skids
* Artec Gussets

* Rancho 5000x shocks
* Rancho/Dynomax exhaust

* EVO rear shackle mounts
* EVO Rock stars

* Instant air supply 15 lbs CO2 tank
* 37x12.5x17 Mtr's
* 17" MB72 wheels

Next I did a Teraflex 2.5" coil lift with shock adapters. First set of 35's were a pain in the a** to balance. 35x12.5x15 km2's. Wheels were 15" black rock vipers.
Wasn't too long after I added Teraflex front lower CA's for caster and Rancho 9000 shocks.

Front bumper was stubby'd with a bolt on hoop.

Then I wanted more height and swapped to RK 2.5" coils. Everything I was reading was these were a 3.5" coil on a 2 door. Fronts are progressive and rears linear.

Won't be too long before changing again

Forgot to mention. Shocks
Bilstein 5100's
teraflex 9550

Tried these both before settling on the 9000's (for the time being)

I could not keep the Km2's balanced and with my New Synergy tie rod would not work with my 15" wheels.

Probably should of gone with a 17" but ended up with 35x16 Hankook MT's. These are a E rated tire and running at 25 psi. Great tire from the reviews. The wheels are the newer Level 8 ZX. There's a optional rock ring to protect the wheel off road.

Currently running in the front all Synergy. Well except for the TF monster track bar.
Ball joints
Tie rod
Drag link (flipped)
TB bracket raised 3"

Fox ATS Stabilizer which is fantastic.

AEV and now Rancho drop brackets until I decide on my next move for arms. I have talked to Clayton here in CT. Love their LA setup.

Long term goal is to buy a welder and learn how to weld. Best friend who happens to work with me is a welder

Go Rancho. Love the 7000 Mt's and the drop brackets are built well.

For those that are lifted and clearance is not a issue. Try these brackets. Amazing !!!

W/R/T the rock ring, did you have the wheels balanced with the rings on (I assume) or off?

If so, are the weights on the rings, underneath on the rim, or static balanced with tape weights on the inside?

Vibration?

Tell me you're not running powder.

Do you run the rings all the time or just put them on when you're on the trail?

I have decided on 315/17 DT's but not wheels yet. I still have about 6 months left on the OEM Bridgestones at this point & the 18's will end up barrel stacked in my barn after. The rock ring is a nice feature but not mandatory since mine is a DD as well as the weekend toy. Would they be a PITA to remove (like bead locks) then reinstall for play time?

Good point man. I don't know if they will affect balance. I have weights stuck on the inside and inner lip. No weights on the outside.
Need to check with Matador. He runs the RR version w/ rings.

Worst case ... Run only off road.

Sup Kramer nice to see ya.

The Fox ATS is simply amazing. One of my favorite mods. Totally worth every penny.

Great build. I'm trying to go your route, synergy ball joints, tie rods, Rancho shocks. Didn't you use to have a Rancho 7000 Steering stabilizer? I know you love your ATS, but I was leaning towards the Rancho SS for 80$. Sounds really stiff, how did you like yours? My stock one is blown.

Kjeeper10, What's the reason you switched from the Rancho 9000s to the 7000? Was thinking of asking Santa for some 9000s.

Rancho SS did its job but I wanted something more "even"
Like most high psi gas shocks there was a slight pull that seemed to get better after some miles. Either that or I got used to it.

After reading Matadors thread on the ATS, I was sold.

Long story short ... I like trying different shocks

Honesty .. A vender was selling a open box brand new set on a forum for $220 I believe. He was able to write the receipt for cost so I was able to still use the rebate at the time. Total was around $170 iirc. Post was up for a while and really surprised nobody scooped them up. I'll say this again. I would have no issues running the 9000's again.

Can't argue with straight up economics!
