Ha! I seriously thought about doing that.

But it's not in the way really. It'll make that one driver's side upper bolt for the bumper tough to get to, but a few bloody knuckles and it's done.

My Pilot lights and yellow Hella bulbs will be here tomorrow. I'm stoked to swap them over and wire them up for a test shot.

I took care of some of the lighting today.

The stock fog lights blow.

I did the popular Pilot fog light upgrade.

I first disassembled the OEM fog lights because I'll be reusing the housing to install the Pilot fog lights into my Brawler Lite bumper.

Here's the OEM fog light removed from its housing/mount.

Here's a comparison shot with the OEM on the left and the new glass Pilot fog lights in the middle and right.

Here's the OEM connector, which I cut.

I spliced a section from the supplied wire harness onto the factory wires.

Here's the connection from the fog light to the wires. Lower down the wire harness is where I spliced into the factory wires.

Here's a picture showing the output from the stock fog light. It is hanging from the wire harness and is about 18" off the ground.

Here's the Pilot 55W fog light with a Hella Optilux yellow bulb installed.

Here's a side-by-side shot.

Now I just need to get some washers and screws from HD so I can mount the fog lights inside the OEM housings.

I wrapped up swapping the Pilot fog lights into the OEM housings so they mount up easily to my Brawler Lite bumper.

I deviated slightly from the tutorial I saw on how to secure the new lights to the housing.

I used the below hardware to mount it.

The order I used is as follows: M6 x 12MM bolt | lock washer | washer | plastic housing | washer | lock washer | metal light

Here it is all mounted up. You can slight make out the order of things in there.

And here they are all ready to go in my new bumper when it's done.

These things are all metal and glass construction. I cranked down on the bolts and they don't budge. I was thinking they'd eventually swivel down after hitting bumps and whatnot, but that doesn't seem like it'll be the case. They're sturdy in these housings.

Well I finally installed my Poison Spyder Brawler Lite bumper. It seems like I always finish projects in the dark.

This one was a real bear frankly. Let it be said again, always fully test fit your goods before getting them painted or powder coated. I test fitted the bumper onto the Jeep before taking it to the PC place, but I didn't test fit my new Pilot fog lights into the holes before taking. Big mistake.

It turns out one of the fog light cylinders was slightly dented prior to welding it inside the bumper. It made it so the glass fog lights wouldn't slide into the cylinder properly. That's right, I had to take a grinding stone to my brand new coated bumper in the fog light hole. I managed okay, and repainted the portion I had to grind down but it still sucks knowing I had to mess up the surface the day I bring it home from the PC.

You can see some of the painted portion inside the fog light hole if you knew to look for it, but it's not really discernable at a pass.

Here are some crappy nighttime cell phone pics for now. I'll get some new ones up in the daytime soon.

These are my new Van Beest Green Pin shackles

This is one sexy bumper.

I really like the new Pilot fog lights with Hella H3 55W yellow bulbs. I think they'll really cut through all the fog and rain we get here frequently.

Love your build. I've been meaning to get over here sooner. I really like the Rock Krawler Pro, part of me wishes I went with that kit for the rust prevention, weight savings, and tie rod! Keep it up and thanks for the pictures and write up on the fog lights.

Awesome. Finally got time to send you a pic or two of my upgrades. Changed out my tires from 35's to 37's last friday. Arctec front and rear trusses are on back order. Ordered my flat flares should be here tomorrow, going to need them as the 37's sure fill the fender wells. Keep up the great work still using some of your ideas.Name: 12 22 2012 026.JPG

My Maglite Pro 2D LED light came in the mail today so I mounted it up.

Before: ugly air bag sensors are visible because I had to relocate them to make room for my Tuffy under seat drawer.

After: ugly plug isn't quite as visible, at least from standing level. This was crouched down at eye level. This light is pretty awesome. It's 274 lumens using 2 D cell batteries.

I ordered the Accessory Pack along with the Maglite.

I simply drilled holes in the seat frame using a 9/64" bit and attached the clips with supplied screws.

It's the two clips that hold the light in.

Wal-Mart has that flashlight with batteries and the mini led light for $29. Just make sure you get the LED as they sell both like that.
