I got the painted fenders on in all corners last week. Needs a good clean and hope to have the soft top on this weekend. I'll get some pics here after that.

Next few things planned:
1. Paint the inside of the hardtop black. I'll be doing this when I get ready to store the hardtop for the summer.
2. Still waiting on my quadratec liners that I ordered in December.

More of the costly mods such as SPOD, shocks, lift, winch, and bumpers have to wait a while. In the middle of a kitchen renovation that blasted my Jeep budget.

Total cost was less than 20 in supplies. Took three people in total. One on each end and one to put the board in place. I like this way because I have a small space. I can still use the space on the floor as you see.

got to work on the hard top paint project. Not as easy as I presumed. I tried to skip a step at first on the first panel; only to find out that the finish sucked. It then added three steps; lol. I knew what was said on the paint can was to good to be true.

So back to basics; I put primer on the two freedom panels. Will paint satin black on another day. Hopefully get to the rear part in a couple of weekends.

Painfully waiting the arrival of my 430n tomorrow.

Sold the nitto trail grappler and wheel combo today. Now on phone with DTD trying to place an order for my new set up. Will be down sizing to 33x12.5x15 Goodyear Duratracs. Loved the aggressive look of the nittos, but decided to go in a different direction here. I got a decent price on my set up and im good with that.

Hi neighbor, I'm the guy that bought your tires (Mountain). Thanks again I love them. They do look great on the two door. After driving around with them I think they are quiter then the BFG KM's, of course thats can also be because the KM's have 40,000 miles on them. They feel much wider and gripper on the road. My mileage did go from 16 to 13 but I expect that to happen. I like your Jeep, the color is awesome. Did your brother get his Jeep painted?

Hey! Glad to see you on here and glad to know you are enjoying your new set up. Your JK looked great with that set up. I went by your house yesterday go show my wife your Jeep but I think you were away. Post a pic here so people can see how it turned out on your rig. You had the right lift for that set up. My new wheels/tires are on the way and should be here by Thursday. I'll try get them mounted probably Fri morning before work.

What wheel did you decide to do this time? I hear the Duratracs are very nice tires. I'll try to post a pic soon of the Nittos.

Decided on the level 8 tracker wheel. Pulled this off Google images and it's the same set up Im going for. I had the white letters face inside.

Brother didn't get his top painted yet. Maybe soon.

Out of curious since I'm so bad when it comes to radios if I wanna upgrade my head unit will that 430n be a good upgrade from the stock unit or is it still crapy just with a touch screen

It me psychological for me, but I think in getting a tad better sound from the stock set up. I'm sure some one with more audio experience can chime in on that. I went with a stock radio because I did not want to rerun the mic and buy adapters for the steering wheel control. I used to be an audiophile about 15 years ago when I got my first car. I'm happy with the stock sound now.

If you like quality sound, I'd recommend an aftermarket set up.

You will love the spod it's so easy to wire things in, all the lighting you do you'll be cutting and throwing out most of the wiring harness lol

so what made you go to 33 inch tires over your 35s? i'm getting ready to finally pull the trigger on some new tires and wheels now, just trying to figure out from where.

Don, I loved the aggressive look of the nitto trail grapplers. My mileage tanked and I was getting 13 on a good day. My jeep wasn't ready for the 35s. I stepped down to 33s for ride comfort. Mpg is about 16-17. I will likely go back to bigger tires, but only after regear. I wasn't ready to regear yet.

Yeah I was shocked that I'm getting that many mpg with 33 and no matter how nice they are 35 will be nicer.
