Hey everyone, I have a 2014 JK sport and I'm looking to add a lift with wheels and tires. I've considered a few options my favorite look is a 4 inch lift with 35's however I'm trying to work with a $5000 budget. I've spoken with friends and they've recommended doing a 2.5" budget boost from Teraflex with shocks and 35's to save money and get a good look. I won't be doing any rock crawling or anything extreme just simple trails in the desert with minor rock action. This vehicle is a daily driver and I'm trying to avoid jumping in to drive shafts and arms. If anyone could give me some ideas and pictures that won't break the bank while giving me a good look that would be great. Thanks.

At 4" or even 3.5" you'll be into drive shafts and you'll have to do something about the caster whether it's new Control Arms or Geometry Brackets. You may also be looking at regearing depending on the gears you have in your rig now. These are the reasons a lot of people stick with 2.5" and 33" tires. That will keep the cost down when lifting. There is a threshold of lift that you can go up to before things get much more expensive, and over 2.5" means more parts and more expense.

Let me know if you have any questions or if you'd like a quote on any parts!

Agree. For a 2door though a 4" lift would get you 38's with flat fenders so really thats a huge lift for the JK. Start looking a 2.5" lifts in your price range, but be warned if your going cheap just get a budget boost or maybe the 2" Rancho Sport with RS9000 shocks at the least. Budget a little more money and you can get something like the Terraflex 2.5" with some Rancho shocks or Fox. If your goal is 35's then stick with 2.5" lifts.
