Hey everyone got a new 14 jku manual with unfortunately 3.21 😢 but I love it anyway atleast I have power windows and locks lol. This is my second jeep I had a 95 yj before( just sold it). So I plan on making this a weekend warrior I live in nyc so this will be 90% on the road and the rest of the time I'll be fishing on the beach with a occasional trip to a off road park and of course going through the snow. So far it's bone stock and these are some picks if it from the day I picked it up

So I plan on doing a 2.5 lift ( not sure what brand but probably AEV or Tera flex)

Gonna do 33s probably duratrac ( might do 35 a few years down the line just not practical now will need a re gear)

For wheels I want 15 I love the small wheel big tire look but will probably do 16 because I here 15 can damage your breaks over time or if a rock gets stuck in it

I have some new kc high lights I didn't install yet was waiting for my spod that just came in today so I'll have some pics within the week of that when it's installed.

Debating is I want to put more high lightes in the front bumper or a led bar

Gonna install rock sliders

And since I love in nyc hood locks will be a smart investment

Of course there are a million more things I want to do lets be serious who is ever truly done with a jeep build lol but for now I think this is a good start. I'll continue to post pics and updates whenever I have them.

Nice jeep! Sounds like you have a great build planned!

For what it's worth, I have 15" MBTKOs with 33" DuraTracs on a TeraFlex 2.5" lift with Rancho 9000xl shocks. I love that combo! Mike ran these wheels before I got my jeep (he's on 17/35s now), but we've been running them for a year and a half with no issues. I'm not familiar with the problem you mentioned.

If you'd like to see pictures, check out my build thread. There are pictures of Mike's jeep, too. He's running the same setup, except for the wheels/tires.

Good luck! Welcome to the insanity! :thumb:

Thanx I def will. I just herd a few times with the 15 inch wheels there is very little room inside and if a rock or a lot of mud get into it it can mess up your calipers

Forgot I had this pic got these about a month ago but I'll throw it on it's the quadratec floor mats and I have to say there def quality, they fit perfect have a good lip around them so nothing will get out and I think I paid 60$ for the front set. Since weather tech ones are like double the price I think these are perfect and fit just as well as weather tech ( had then in my mustang)

So finally after having a issue with ups I finally got my spod, hopefully I'll have some time this week to install it but I have to say it's super high quality, still at about 500 I think it's alittle but much but it will make life so easy down the line when I want to ad more lighting and possibly lockers

Hey everyone banged out of work today and figured the weather was perfect time to turn some wrenches on the jeep, didn't install the rocksliders gonna do that Friday I got the spod and the kc lights installed

Took apart the inside

Had to cut the plastic alittle to fit the bracket to hold the switch pod just used a small sanding head on a dremel worked great

Made alittle mistake lol pulled the wire to hard and it poped out had to re wire it

Here is the pod

And here are the lights.
The spod is awsome only took about a hour and a half to install and make anything you wanna hook up to it is just plug and play

Well I was putting my freedom top in it's bag the other day and I tripped and dropped one of the panels right in the corner and spent a hour or two doing alittle fiberglass work to fix it, luckily it wasent bad at all and I fixed it, you can't see the damage at all and it seals fine so that worked out but I decided the stupid bag has to go it's a pain to get them in and you can't see out the back of the jeep when it's hooked in so I got the rampage bag. I love it, it fits perfect and is super easy to put the panels in and you can see out the window

Now I need mount for my hi jack lol

Hey guys had some free time today and went alittle nuts I installed my ace rock rails, a stubby antenna, and all the decals I ordered here are some pics

They were easy to install despite the fact they weight like 50 pounds each had my freind help me out

Easy enough screw the old one out and then the new one in, noticed already it def doesent have the range if the stock one but I mainly use Sirius so no biggy

Tried to think of a good name for my jeep my old yj was a green 2.5 so I called it the turtle for obvious reasons lol so my g/f said name it jaws cause it's big and grey. Also since I've never done vinyl decal work I think it came out ok despite a few small bubbles. With alittle luck next will be the lift and tires and a new audio system

Hey everyone I installed some more lighting I go fishing on the beach with the jeep and needed some more dog lights so I installed the mopar bar and two kc fog lights, the bad has room for another light but I'll add that later on and re wire the lights. The spod made the install so easy but the passenger side light wire wasent long enough and the driver side was to long so I cut a section off and spliced them into the passenger side ones. When I get the third light ill re wire everything because I didn't get to feed the wires into the car the way I wanted and there kind of visible but for now it works and made a big dif in my night time driving on the beach here are some pics

I'm located in Brooklyn and stitch19 love the 15 on those 33 looks good I'm working on saving for the lift and tires now I want to do 15 but they scare me alittle cause I herd they leave like no room but ill prob end up doing them lol

So I finally bit the bullet I ordered 5 33" duratracs mounted on 15"Matt black level 8 trackers today from dtd who I have to say are awsome and super helpful. So I'm super excited and they should be coming in tuesday

#27 ·
Hey everyone came home from work to find these waiting for me

33 duratracs on 15" level 8 trackers
Only crapy part about this all is my jeep is at the dealer right now having the throw out bearing replaced( gotta love having this prob with 2500 miles 😢). The loner car they gave me is a dodge journey so basicly I have a set of 33 sitting around taunting me while I'm driving a mini van lol so with alittle luck by Friday the tires will be on it

Hey everyone I finally bought a hi jack mount was getting sick if it rattling around in the back of my jeep. Wanted a hood mounted one is think those look so bad ass but didn't wanna have to take it off every time I had to open the good so I got a mount that hooks onto the roll cage inside, it looks nice and will keep the jack safe from the elements

Seems good took like 5 min to install it's american made and good quality and when I drove it didn't rattle. So next are the tires I had to send the ones I bought from dtd back they sent me the wrong bolt pattern ( was for the tj) but no biggy Anthony from dtd was super helpful and I should have them in tommorow
