Chatted with kjeeper10 again yesterday as the slight nose-up stance (3/4") has been gnawing at me and there is more nose dive than I like due to the extra bumper weight on stock springs (which will worsen with a winch).

So, decided to go forward with a Teraflex Performance Leveling Kit using the 4 door springs to get a little more lift. Also replacing the stock shocks with Rancho 9000s. Anyone who has read kjeeper10's lift thread is aware of how much he likes the Ranchos! He is much more knowledgable than I and the shock reviews are very good so will go with his recommendation.

Was going to wait until spring to lift but the stance is bugging me and I thought the bolts would be much easier to do before going through a MN winter (no air tools so this will be all elbow grease!). Also would like to do a winter run or two and would want a winch on for that. The extra clearance would be great and stiffer springs to accommodate adding a winch.

Now, time to start digesting build threads and YouTube videos to learn how to do this job!! Will post some pics when done, of course.

Looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

If I was local I would lend a hand. You shouldn't have much trouble though.

Will take before/after measurements and let you know. Just keep in mind that it has heavy aftermarket bumpers and rails so the lift will be less than a stock 2dr using 4dr springs.

Hey MnJK,

Just FYI... Mike is running the TeraFlex 2.5" coil lift with the Rancho 9000xls and we LOVE IT!!! Loved it so much that I ordered the shocks almost before my jeep got here.

Can't wait to see how it turns out!

And KJ is awesome! Definitely knows his !

Will do. I'll definitely be getting pizza & beer for this job if you really want to work on it together! If you decide to lift yours, we'll be pros at that point.

Glad to hear Mike likes his set-up! Found a GREAT deal on a Warn m8000s winch so went ahead and ordered that as well. Will be all ready for whatever winter throws at me this year!

Steve,
I can't believe how far you have come in so little time. Your jeep is lookin' good. I like it and the color works well while dirty. I have been off line for a while and a week or so later. Nice.
Can't wait to see what the future brings to your jeep. Santa have plans?

Just getting through your build thread. Nice work. I love that wheels/tire combo. Your rig is looking pretty BA. I was going to throw out there that I've got coil spring and shocks out of my JKU just sitting here, but it sounds like you may have that covered. I got the wheels, tires, coil springs and shocks out of a rubicon x, so my stock wheels, tires and suspension are now gathering dust. from MN myself, north metro, so not far.

Hi everybody,
I am finally headed home to Colorado in a week. I will take possession of my jeep that I was only able to drive for 30 miles before heading back to Ca.

I get home to a JKUR X with a dealer installed; Mopar Stage 3 lift (terraflex stage 3) with trackbar, terraflex bumpstops and fox shocks with reservoirs (why?) and a warn zeon 10s winch.

I just ordered 2 sPods one for jeep and one for Cummins. 2 10" e series rigid light bars one for the Cummins and one for the jeep. Also for the jeep. 1 pair d2 hyperspot, 2 pairs d2 driving 1 for front and one for back. 1 set of A pillar mounts from poison spyder for the spots. 1 Pair truclites and the necessary harness.

Amazon $298/pair for the rigid 50231 is a great deal. The 10" bars also from Amazon were $335 each. No shipping on most and 6 bucks for the d2s. Had to get the Hyperspots from Northrige4x4 as I did the trucklites. Good deal and free shipping.

Expensive but want to get it done and enjoy it now rather then piece it together over a couple years.

I know I didn't have to get Rigid or trucklites but after reading and checking those are the best I can find. I think there are some others I saw on line that may be as good at least and less expensive but these are tried and proven. I recently failed getting PIAA for the Cummins. That's why I have to augment with the extra light bar.

I need the light as I do a lot of camping and trail cruising. This is going to be great. Very excited.

I will be doing the electrical. Looks easy and I have been doing it a couple time recently with a friend so hopefully I don't burn up my new ride. I also will install the grade 8 hardware upgrade that Kjeeper10 recommended.
I am going to install this myself too. Ought to be able to handle this one, so if anything jeep will burn before it falls into pieces.

Gonna let my wallet recover for a bit then when stock tires go I will do wheels and tires and Bushwacker fenders.

Then I am done. I hope. That Gobi rack and some of the organizer stuff for the back might come in handy though.

I'll post some pics when I get home in a week or so.

Yes, please do, want to see how you mount your rear lights.

I was thinking of mounting a couple on top of the Taillight housing.

I think I accidentally posted this on Steves thread. When I get home I will PM you and send you a photo and will post on SP"s Granite crystal build thread. They kinda want to see everybody's build there. I wasn't paying attention.

Sorry again Steve. Did not mean to hijack your thread.

Not a problem….I'm just working on getting you banned from the forum now! Just kidding of course!
Heading to Telluride in January - Woohoo!! (just bringing skis, no Jeep). You're a ways from there though if I recall correctly.

Hey neighbor! Thanks much and thanks as well for the offer on the springs, guess I should have checked around a bit before jumping the gun on the Teraflex. Still haven't landed on a decision about the grill…add a splash of color like yours or keep it Anvil/Black.

Winch arrived today courtesy of Santa Amazon. Perfect timing as we are in the middle of a 2 day snow storm then into the deep freeze below zero . Springs and shocks will be here tomorrow. Not sure if I'll try to heat the garage and put anything on or not…maybe just the winch. Hmmmm…..

Since it was 10 degrees below zero Saturday, decided it was a good day to stay inside and add on a Warn m8000s winch. Overall, the install was easy on the Rampage Recovery Bumper because the winch plate is bolted on from the top into threaded holes - no need to try to reach up inside the bumper to add nuts to the bottom of the bolts because it is all self contained (see pic of zinc bolt tops). Others have done detailed write-ups so no need for step-by-step directions here.

However, the hardest part was figuring out how to attach the solenoid (the squarish box on the left) because there were NO instructions whatsoever. Had to scour the internet to find another Jeeper who did a nice write up. Here is the link as it was not easy to find: M8000 winch solenoid mounting - Warn bracket - Jeep Wrangler Rubicon TJ & JK Forum – Tips, how-to, parts & accessory discussion and information

More snow today which is awesome but the cold and snow are not conducive to spooling on the line properly so will need to re-spool once the weather clears and warms a bit.

Thanks. I'm still around, just not posting as much. Following yours, Branman's and Starbrite's build threads. I didn't do a build thread as most of my additions were cosmetic, decals, light guards and such, but i did add on some Smittybilt rubi rock rails last week. Early Christmas gift. I have pics of Coyote in my profile/garage except with the rock rails. Have to take some with those on still. Over 1100 miles and loving it!
The Warn winch looks good on yours.

Finally looked on a map and saw where Telluride is…didn't realize it was in SW Colorado. Fly in to Denver and then take a prop plane the rest of the way. My buddy was a bit surprised and is a NOT happy about that! Oh well, should be a nice close up view of the mountains. But hopefully not toooooo close!

The deep freeze has been sticking around although the newspeople were so excited yesterday when we broke into the double digits for a high yesterday. It was funny. Short live though. Below zero when going to work today and was below zero when I got home. Usually we don't get this cold until Jan/Feb. Maybe that means Spring will be here early as well!

Checked out your garage. The red/black/Anvil combo is really nice, man. Great to put the personal touches on it! Might have to spice mine up a bit with a little color too! Hope you got some snow to play in when that storm moved east.

Single digit temperatures, I stay inside.

Zero degrees, I hibernate in my bed until further notice.

Negative degrees and I get the out of Dodge!!!
