It's always good to meet someone else who bleeds burgundy and gold! I'm trying to their in a few Skins touches for the build, but I'm still deciding on how far to go with that. I'm a big fan of "subtle"...

Ditto. Don't hose up that awesome vision of yours with football stuff.

(This is coming from a huge Jags fan wallowing in despair and disappointment.)

Question: if I don't have my winch on when I install my lift, will I need to readjust everything once the winch arrives a few weeks later?

If that's the case, then I'll have to cancel the order and find it in stock elsewhere. What do you guys think?

if you have to readjust your entire suspension because of a winch, you bought the wrong suspension.

Ok, sounds good... thanks guys! I'll leave the order as is with Jason @ KOR, and just wait.

If all goes according to plan, all of the rest should be done by November 9th, including the welding...

I did a double take when I read your post. At first I thought it read "including the wedding".

True Blue isn't Chicago blue... it's Buffalo blue!

Anyway Paleh0rse, I would may consider doing small accents with that Redskins yellow some place. I think that would be a subtle, but obvious, kind of homage.

Can't wait to see some pictures!

Gold* accents would work well with the 'skins them!

Yeah. Redskins, Steelers, and LSU fans can keep trying to tell me that it's gold. But, it's still yellow.

It's more than just random people's opinions, it's actually a standard.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_%28color%29

OP, the MetalCloak Game Changer Lite has metallic gold control arms and the OME gold is pretty close to Redskins' Gold.

While I know that it's supposed to be gold, I'm in the camp that leans more toward burgundy (or red), white, and yellow for the colors.

That said, the first subtle Skins homage went on tonight along with several other mods.

Tonight's completed projects were:
-- Grill Mesh Mod
-- Installed Philips X-treme 9008 H13 Headlight bulbs
-- Painted the ring around the headlights flat black
-- MOLLE Rear Storage Panels (Customized)

Photos will follow in a minute...

More photos from tonight's projects...
(NOTE: I didn't take a photo to illustrate, but the back of the yellow strip was painted Deep Cherry Red as well so that it blends in with the MOLLE panel when seen from the other side)

Rubicon, right? How about replacing the "R" in the "Rubicon" stickers with the Redskins' Font type "R". Keeping it in the same color as the rest of the "ubicon" would keep it subtle, but you and an occasional other Redskins' fan could tell.

You could also do the same thing with the W and R in the word WRANGLER.

FYI, huge Skins' fan transplanted from MoCo, MD to GA about 7 years ago. Hard to represent my Skins' in a near Eagles colored Jeep. I'm looking at getting a second Jeep ('13) and I like the idea of doing a Redskins' color/theme (like w/ MetalCloak Game Changer Lite lift kit), but I've got my eyes on another color. At least this one won't be completely opposite to Redskins' colors.

Cool idea! I'll have to do a mock-up to see how the 'R' would look.

I did find a subdued silver/black Redskins Indian head badge that is the same size as the "Trail Rated" badge. I may swap those out at one point as well... Not sure yet.

We'll have to meet up some time when you're done so I can take a first person peek at your beasty.

Installed the LoD Armor Lite mid-width bumper, bull bar, and skid plate today. (The winch is still on backorder until 11/15).

LoD added an extra hour and a half to this install when their packing foam somehow fused itself to the bull bar and I had to use five different chemicals and a screwdriver to remove it. Paint thinner ended up being the best solution. Grrrrrrr

It's a little scratched up from the screwdriver now, but it's not too terrible.

I love the bumper, but LoD will certainly be getting an email or call on Monday...

On this, I am pretty sure you will have to drill out the joints to fit the larger hardware. Just letting you know so you dont get into a bind...

The joints on the new RK LCA's?! Whoa... that kinda sucks. I wasn't aware of that! Is that true for both the frame and axle ends, or just one of those?
