My 2014 Rubi Build

Hey guys I just traded my 2012 Tacoma in for a Jeep and so far it has been great. I have done a few upgrades and hope many more in future. This will keep a log of my steps a long the way.

cool truck, but the thread name is too generic.

World's Coolest Anvil Build!

Or

Alien Anvil Jeep From Neptune!

Something more grabby. You've still got time to change it.

Welcome to wrangler forum.

They fit without a lift? No rubbing?

JK Rubi's can clear 35's without lift. If you take them off-road though, you're going to need at least a 2" lift for articulation & flex. With mine, I even had to chop the fenders (after popping off the rears on a trail).

Nice!! I have a '14 Rubi X and was looking at lifts but if I don't need one I'll just get the new rims and tires and wait on the lift cause I don't plan on off-roading until it gets nicer out. Thanks for the help!

Do you have pictures showing how much you had to trim the fenders?

It actually has 2 inch on it. Just budget booster lift.

Okay, thanks!! And I heard from another person on here that people are breaking into jeeps by popping the hood and jumping the door locks with small batteries. I would look into a hood lock if I was you. Just a heads up!

Front:

Side (Rear):

Basically, I just chopped off that 2" drop on the side of the fenders. Re-mounted the side marker underneath to where it shined down on the tires

I decided to take back tire off so that I could sale all 5 of my original wheels together then wanted to see what she looked like with doors off. I kind of dig the no back wheel look.
