Ok, so I have a bare bones no frill JKU. I love it so far. I would like to lift it 2 inches and stick some 33s under it. Over time, id like recovery bumpers and many other budget breakers. Id like a proper lift, I do not want to alter the camber, or wear out my u-joints in a week, or destroy a new set of tires. it is my only ride, so it really needs to be reliable. I was thinking about buying the lift in stages and putting it in all at once. any suggestions?
For 33s you do not need a lift. A simple level kit or very small lift would be nice. A puck lift will cause the least drivetrain issues. Keeps it budget friendly, less chance of issues and so on.
I don't like the idea of the "hockey puck" lift. Some say they can unseat the springs at full drop articulation...I am new, I am not sure it is factual. Is there a 2 in spring lift that is durable and reliable? It's true, 3.21 ratio is not ideal for off road. In the future, I would like a rear locker with 3.73 and strange axles with the 33s. but the axles will wait a few years...I love how much knowledge is on this forum!
