Thought I would start my build threat of my most recent project - This build started as a 2014 rubicon X

The buffalo ( yes I named it) has an AEV 3.5 dual sport RS suspension with 5160 res shocks

It's got a nice stance and handles well .....To be clear .. This build is more for fire roads, washboard terrain, backcountry exploring, camping, water crossings and good ol fashion trail fun .. Not rock crawling.. Thus the AEV set up! oh ya .. Is will be on the road more than on the trail- 80 road - 20 off road. This is my 6 wrangler build .... Not intending to hit the hammers in this rig... And yes I know the res shocks are over kill for what I intend to use this vehical for but I like the way these look and perform.

For what its worth ........ The buffalo was recently featured in 4Wheel Drive Magazine here is the link .. http://www.fourwheeler.com/project-v...ler-unlimited/

Dakota Customs did a fantastic job with the initial modifications, I highly recomend their work.

Beautiful rig and congrats on the magazine article, Do you still have the factory 4.10 gears? If so how does it feel? Are you planning on keeping them or upgrading? I am thinking about ordering a White Rubi X also.

Thank you for the kind words ... Yes I still have the 4:10s .. The engine has enough power to turn the 35 as good as stock as far as I can tell. I just completed a 2010 JK 2 door manual and had to re gear to 4:88 to just get it back up to stock performance. The smaller engine in the 2010 needed a re gear to turn the 35s...

Again, thanks for the kind words ..... Out of the 6 jeeps I have built this is my first white one.. I'm excited to watch it grown and see how the white jeep " blacked out " ends up.
I'll keep updating this build thread so others can see how the MODS I have chosen turn out.

( get the white jeep )

Can't wait to see what all you do. I just got rid of my silver jeep of 10 years and got a 14 white JK. I was a bit hesitant to get white, but excited to see what I can do with it...I just ordered AEV savegre's that I'm going to plasti white before mounting. That's the first step toward a long and hopefully beautiful relationship!

Hope you enjoy your White Buffalo!

Looks good. I am liking those tires more every time I see them. I also like how light they are compared to the Toyo's I am running.

I had the antenna on my last build, a 2010 jk .. The base is round beefy black aluminum. I thought it would fit on my 2014 project .. I was wrong .. The base did not fit so I just installed the antenna .. When I went to order a new one for my 2014 from quadratec ( because I like the way it looks better with the base ). I found they only offer it for the TJ now.. I am still looking and will post if and when and if I find it.

Love it! May be my favorite on here. I may do something very close, once my warranty runs out. Crap! I just remembered I got the lifetime warranty.
