Long time lurker, but first time poster.
Just bought a 2015 Copper brown JKU Sport S this past Thursday. Its got a few extras, like the max tow, 3-piece top, connectivity package, power everything, Sirius, 3.73 with the 17" wheels and some other stuff...
I already have a 2006 TJ, that I love and have been modding, but the wife said she wanted me to get something that can carry at least 4 adults comfortably and/or be able to tow our tent trailer. SHE suggested I get a new 4 door Jeep!! So, what's a man to do?? Well....Get a new Jeep, of course!! And, I convinced her that keeping the TJ for our son, that just turned 16, would also be a great idea....since, it only has 57K miles and I've already built it out. (And, he's a very responsible kid who will take care of it)
The future plans to the Copper are to make it fairly clean and simple, but stand out from the normal crowd. I already ordered a RC Series II 2.5" lift, a full mesh top from Rugged Ridge, Proline rain gutter surf board racks, and black side armor step nerf bars, which should be here in the next few days.
I need to order up a 7-pin trailer harness and brake controller soon, for our upcoming camping trip. Also, I'm trying to decide which size tires to get. Thinking I'm going to just go up to 33's, so as not to lose too much for towing. I also like the simple Jeep wheels, just not the color. I will probably just Plasti dip them black for now. I did the TJ wheels that way, and they look good and have held up good.
So, here is a pic of the new Jeep, all stock, from the dealer and one with our 'Ol Blue TJ.
Enjoy!
