Been keeping an eye on this man, great build. What did you use to cut that t-hinge?
I like those LoD bumpers and the ARB diff covers, both mods I'm researching along with Ace sliders up first...wheels and lift in the spring...
I'm told my rig is scheduled to ship Friday and be delivered to Hapeville by next Friday...then hopefully to the dealership the following week...so we'll see...

Thanks, not to steer the thread, but "GO SOX" lol. I put it in a vise and use a hand held cutting wheel. It came out ok, I'd like to have used a miter saw cutting wheel. Once i painted it, it looked perfect.

Fender Chop. It came out nice, but what a mess doing it with a dremel. I switched to a jig saw and wasn't as messy. The dremel just sprays melted plastic all over the place. Finished of the edges with black door trim. Each trim pack from Auto Zone has 18 ft, you'll need 2 packs, and use about 23 ft total. I trimmed the liners and reinstalled them. I made attached an L bracket out of aluminum tape, to the back side of the front liners to attach to the body to prevent it from sagging and hitting the tire.

More result... No rubbing in the wheel wells at full flex, up on 37"s, or on the trail. Slight touch of the frame at full steer with the back inside front tires.

Its easy to cut those flares on a nice warm day with a razor blade. Even a blow dryer or heat gun can help if its not warm any more

Nice!! curious about the overall weight? Do you have a breakdown? ie front bumper- 100 lbs,rails -50 bs each etc..? Gave me some nice ideas. Congrats.

Thanks. I haven't added it all together to get the exact numbers, but with off with the old and on with the new I'm estimating it's about 1000 lbs more.

Wheels +350
Bumpers and sliders +400
Winch +110
Diff covers, lights, accessories +100

EVO Full Protek Skid installed. I am running the AEV drop brackets for the front control arms. So the skid didn't line up perfectly. Since steel does bend... Ouch... I was able to make it work. Also for those running exhaust spacers and want to leave them on you may consider only getting the oil pan and transmission skid and opting out of the exhaust skid because they won't work together.

If you have a manual you'll need to get 2 bolts for the frame mount. After a few stops at ACE, Home Depot, and NAPA, they are 12mm with a 1.5 pitch.

You never answered the OP's question about the RCV's, but then come back and give advice on cutting the flares. You got an answer to the first quote?

To the OP, your rig looks real nice. Did your homework on this build and it shows.

Awesome build. I really like that anvil color and your set up. Where you able to do the bumper & light install by yourself or does it take a few ppl to fit and wire everything?

Thanks for the compliments, I have really enjoyed building this one. I did all the wiring myself. This time I used the sPod and it was plug and play... so easy. I did need help to lift the rear bumper in place (used my 16 year old neighbor) not too heavy, just too big for one person. My wife could have helped but we won't go there... lol. When she gets involved and I take things off to mod, she says I'm ruining my jeep. When I'm finished she always says, "oh that looks nice"

There is a bit cruising at 80 mph... at 80 mph I'm at 3000 rpm's with my setup, which is the rpm were you will hear the drone. When cruising at 2-2.5k rpm's I don't get any.

I'm doing the aFe intake tomorrow, so I'm curious how it will change the performance. With just the exhaust I don't really see any performance improvement other than the better sound.

I just installed the aFe MagnumFORCE Stage-2 PRO 5R Intake Systems, 54-12092-1. Very easy to install, took about 20 minutes. When I first installed the exhaust I didn't notice any performance increase other than having a heavier foot because I enjoy listening to the exhaust note, lol. My gas mileage went from about 15 mpg to about 13 mpg after the install of just the exhaust. I felt like it struggling to get more air... Well of course it was.

After my first drive with the new air intake, I could immediately tell these were meant to go together. High insight I should have done the intake before the exhaust or done them at the same time. I'm hoping to get the 2 mpg back, but then again it sounds really good with intake now. It will be a few tanks of gas before I can get an accurate reading on the fuel flow. I'll post my results when I get them.
