I felt like the powder coat finish was the most durable. After seeing it installed I know I made the right choice for my rig.

I've been working on my roll out rear floor for a while now and thought I would post a few pics. I'm about 90% finished. I decided to throw my 60qt fridge/freezer on it to give it a test roll out. It worked as expected with no surprises so I'm very happy. More later!!! Click image for larger version

Wow Victor, that is really slick. How did you mount that to the floor? That would work really nice as a table out on the trail. Are you going to do a write up on the building of that?

I told him we need to have a mod party and he can teach us all how to build them.

Jeepers, I drilled 8 holes in the floor and used #14 stainless sheet metal screws. I will probably do a write up once I'm totally finished with the project.

Thanks StarBrite! We're in Townsend TN tonight and tomorrow night and will be headed to Cades Cove tomorrow in search of spring wildflowers. Will also probably check out the Tremont and Roaring Fork area as well. Also the Dogwoods and Redbuds are in full bloom here as well. Thursday morning we'll be headed to Boone NC via Bristol TN to meet up with our friends for the weekend. The drive from Bristol to Boone on hiway 421 is just awesome.

I also got pulled over today by a Tennessee State Trooper because he said I got over to the left and let my tires touch the white lane divider on the east bound lane of interstate 40. I actually think he just wanted to check out my rig because I didn't get a warning or ticket and he didn't even ask for my proof of insurance.

Yeah that is totally a stop just to check out the vehicle. Haven't had that happen in my Jeep, but I have in previous vehicles...

Hey, Victor... finally got to check out your thread. Damn, nice job on your rig!

Have you made a decision on your lift yet?

Thanks for the the comments!!

No, not sure about the lift yet. I need to decide on a rear bumper and tire carrier then have them installed so that I can see how much droop I have. Then I will know how much and what type of lift I will need....... I'm leaning in the direction of JKU springs for my JK but time will tell.

I hear ya. I'm basically experiencing paralysis by analysis. It's why I haven't decided what to do with my rather small budget. I have about 3k and have been thinking about a leveling kit and maybe 285/70/17. It's a conservative size that shouldn't create issues for me. But, is it enough of a difference to warrant the spend.

I love the fabrication that you've done to meet your needs. Awesome job.

I washed it after work tonight and used Wipe New on all of the plastics like mirrors and bumpers. I'm starting small.

Slightly off topic but yesterday I said goodbye to an old friend. This had been my DD for 12 years. It did go to a good home though. He is going to restore and modify it to be a track car and promised to send me pics as the restoration proceeds.

Today I got the carpet installed on my roll out rear floor and rear storage platform in my JK Polar. This project is almost complete. The final item is figuring out a latching mechanism to secure the floor in place while mobile. For now I'll have to keep using my vice grip pliers to lock it in place.
