First Modification: Upgrading the wheels.

Went with LT295/65/R18 GY Duratracs on XD Addicts 18x9
Backspace was approx 4.5"

I had a little rub at full lock which was easily fixed by a little trimming.

Some minor easy mods that were added:

- AntennaX Off-Road (13-inch) Antenna
First one came bent and AntennaX from this forum quickly replaced it -- great customer service and had no issue with the sound quality decreasing.

- Mopar All Weather Floor Slush Mats
These look great and worked great during the past winter.

- Rugged Ridge Black Rear Euro Tail Light Guard

Today's modifications:

- AEV’s DualSport 2.5-Inch XT Lift
Added AEV Geometry Correction Bracket and AEV ProCal Module

- JW Speaker 8700 Evolution 2 Headlights
Needed to replace the stock headlights and like the look of these in Black. Added the anti-flicker harness.

Will post before/after pictures once the install is done.

I also ordered the AEV Premium Front Bumper with Tube and IPF 901XSD Driving Lights. Unfortunately both were backordered but will hopefully receive them soon.

Just wanted to give credit to all of the vendors on this forum for helping out with the build.

Matt from Discount Tire was great in helping with the tire/wheel combination and did the mount/balance of the tires for free.

Rick from Quadratec set me up with ordering the AEV 2.5" Lift.

AntennaX quickly replaced my 13" Off Road Antenna.

- AEV DualSport 2.5-Inch XT Lift

- JW Speaker 8700 Evolution 2 Headlights

Still waiting on the AEV Premium Bumper with Tube and IPF 901XSD Driving Lights as it is still back-ordered. I plan on ordering the JW Speaker 6145 Black fog lights to go with the new bumper when it arrives.

New lift really gave the jeep a new look and it rides great.

Looking into options for the turn signals to give them the smoked look. Does anyone have any recommendations? I looked into the Recon LED turn signal lights but heard terrible things about them.

Looking good, for the turn signals you can send them out to be smoked or plasti dip them, I think they even make a smoke plasti dip

Thanks! I'm hoping it looks even meaner when the AEV premium bumper with tube / lights come in!

Just placed the order for the JW speaker matching fog lights for when it does.

These mods have quickly become a bad addiction haha

looks great :thumb: Love the headlights. It's gonna look badass with the AEV front bumper. What kind of lights are you going with on the bumper? Look into laminX for the signals
Thanks! I'm going with the IPF 901XSD lights -- I like that they are 8.5" x 8" and have the aggressive looking cover on them.

I'll have to check out laminX for the signals, thanks!

Love coming home from work to have a package waiting from Quadratec -- now if only the new bumper can come in so that I can install them!

xMatt, I know this is an older thread, but do you have a full side pic after the lift and tires?? Also , how much difference performance wise with these tires and the 3.21's. Pretty sure these are the tires I am going with, but mine is a 2" lift, just a frame of reference if it's not too much trouble. Thanx JT.

Hey JT -- I'll have some tomorrow -- my new AEV bumper, IPF off road lights, jw speaker fog lights and soft top are all finally going on (bumper took forever to get from AEV) so I'll take some tomorrow evening when they are all complete.

The performance of those tires with 3.21 is fine -- minor power loss but nothing worth complaining over. I love the combo and it looks great with the 2.5" lift. I also get pretty good mpg with them as well for a jeep (18-19 on average).

Awesome , thanks Matt, sounds like it will be pretty great. Good news on the gears and DT's, just waiting to return to work after plant retooling layoff to pull the trigger. Looking forward to updates.

I know -- don't remind me! Haha -- Jeep is in the shop for the next set of mods to the build -- smoking out the front and side turn signals will be the next project along with removing the silver appliqué from the rear bumper.

Can't wait to see how it all looks with the new front bumper.

Have you heard good things about them? I looked into them but all I read was negative reviews of them being poorly made .. Would def be open to them if I saw some positive reviews
