looking forward to watching, did yours come with the d44 rear? I find it sad that there are hardly any available around here or even close to here. My only option when time comes for 35s looks like a full 8.8 swap.

Ya I got lucky. I was looking into the 8.8 because I was having a hard time finding one with the 44. But all the looking paid off

I will be watching this thread because as you can see I have the same year and color as you and love to see this build so I can get ideas. Im curious why you are doing a 3.5" lift and putting 35's on her? Are you concerned with rubbing with the shorter lift? I have a 4" Pro Comp lift and have had 33's on her since 2003 and love em. Im running stock gearing though so want to see how the axle changes go. Good luck with the build and enjoy!!!!

Not concerned about rubbing at all. I ordered metal cloaks fenders which you can run 35-37s without any lift. I like the idea of the lower center of gravity. Not gonna call it a LCOG build because tons of hate will come along haha

This years Jeep didnt come with the dana 44. It has the 35 in the rear and the 30 up front.

And yes I'm going with 4.88s for the 35s. The fenders are pricey but I like them

Thinking same lift and fenders for my 02, just between 3 1/2 inch mc or 4 inch currie springs, looking forward to seeing when done.

I was in that debate as well. But then it came down to I wasn't really sold on the whole anti rock thing.. I just don't get it. I'd rather just have fully disconnected sway bars and then reattach them. And I also wanted to try the "new" lift that was out.

Ya I'm hoping the MC don't make my 35s look too small. If it does.. I guess that's my excuse for 60s and 37-38s 😁

Yeah kinda wondering if tires will look to small, already have a 1.25 bl, 3 inch springs may even be the way to go.

My 02 is getting Metal Cloak as well. I saw them at a Jeep (4x4) fundraiser and they are incredible. I believe after seeing them that they are well worth the money they cost. as far as lift, I all ready have a Pro Comp 4" and Ive spoke to the guys at Metal Cloak and I will be upgrading my lift a little at a time starting with control arms, then springs. I am looking forward to seeing the lift on your Jeep though. Enjoy the transformation!!!!

Good system...almost did that for my setup as well but ended up saving a little coin and going with an iron rock system.

Jeep should look great once you start putting everything on there

Quick question, why are you locking the rear first when the d44 came with tru-trac limited slip? It makes more sense to me locking the front first Imo
