2005 jeep wrangler x build

My parents bought me this 2005 Jeep Wrangler X about 3 months ago for my first vehicle. I absolutely love it but I just want to make it one of those jeeps you drive past and just HAVE to stare at. Except for the tires and rims it's completely stock. I know I need a new radio and center console sub because both are broken. I don't have a large budget but I do have a good bit of money saved up. Any suggestions on what I should do to it??

You should thank your parents for buying you a jeep and drive it as is. Save your money for things like maintenance and repairs.

Okay I understand and completely agree with you, but there's no need to save for repairs and everything in my opinion because it's in the best condition and eight year old jeep can be in. I'm not looking to spend thousands of dollars on it, but I do want to put in a little money towards it.

How much exactly? I was in the same boat as you. I kept some money aside for repairs but also had some play money. I put a zone 4.25 combo lift kit (3 inch suspension and 1.25 inch body lift) and 33s. I love it. That kit runs about 500. If you want a little cheaper than get a 2 inch budget booster lift and a 1.25 inch body lift and 31s or 33s will look good under that. Maybe a cool bumper amd some lights too? I dont know how much your wanting to spend but theres some ideas! Heres mine with 4.25 zone combo and 33s

I was thinking between a 2-4 skyjacker lift and keeping the 29" AT tires it came with for the moment. I can afford both and I've been looking at bumpers and lights, but I mainly need to fix my audio system since it really isn't that great.

I would stay away from skyjacker. I havent heard very many good things about them. And if theyre anything like the skyjacker shocks ive got on my jeep now, STAY AWAY. They suck. Not a great ride.

My dad actually told me the exact opposite about skyjacker lifts. And he said their shocks were really good. What other kinds should I consider looking at?? Preferably close to or under $500.

Thanks I'll definitely look into it. My jeep is actually the same color as yours so now I have a good idea of what it will look like.

You mentioned lights earlier and I just installed 2 Lifetime 4.25x2.25 LED's. They're not big at all but man are they bright. $42 bucks each and a lifetime warranty. Hard to beat, I highly recommend them

If you plan on keeping your 29 tires just do a budget boost. It'll look dumb on any more lift than that with those tires. Get your audio fixed, and Idk, maybe take it wheeling
