Nice pick for $600 Here is my new ride. A 97 SE stick and she cost me $500 from a girl that my girl friend works with. Runs and drives, but so far put in new brakes, power steering lines, aluminum rims and 225 tires, and painted the mirrors and fender flares. Still needs a steering box, leaks bad. And needs an O2 sensor as it runs bad for a minute warming up. 117K on the clock. Looks like you are making a nice ride. Keep it up.

Finished with the engine and put about 100 miles on it and so far no leaks, and no problems. 400 miles to go for the break in to be complete!

SS, if you don't mind me asking, I know that you have $600 for the purchase price, but how much else do you have in this build? Just trying to see if I can justify a purchase similar to yours (though not as cheap!) to my wife. A buddy of mine has a 98 TJ that he is thinking of selling because he says, "It needs too much work." I am thinking if it's less than 1K I may buy it depending on how much it's going to cost to fix this thing. I know my wife loves riding in my 99 TJ and it would be awesome if I could get one for her to go with me on trails! BTW, great job and great find!

All together with buying it and all the upgrades ive spent about 2,200. It's an addiction now I can't seem to stop buying stuff for it! Just bought an alarm to keep them crackheads from stealing my goodies. It has a mile range and a 2way remote, just have to get it installed.

That's actually not too bad including a new engine! I know how addicting modding a Jeep can be, my wife is constantly yelling at me for spending more money on it than I do on her...
